Gal Gadot Nearly Had A Very Different Role In The DCEU As Part Of MAN OF STEEL

Gal Gadot is obviously playing Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year, but her role in the DC Extended Universe could have been a lot shorter had she said yes to a part offered to her in Man of Steel. Find out who she nearly played after the jump...

Based on past interviews with Zack Snyder, it sounds like he almost immediately decided to cast Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice after an impressive audition impressed him and everyone else in the room at the time. However, she very nearly missed out on the role because she was initially offered a part in Man of Steel. "When I was a month pregnant with (my daughter) Alma, I got an offer to be the evil Superman character," Gadot recently revealed in an interview conducted in her home country of Israel (via Batman-News). "If I wasn’t pregnant I’d take the job, and there’s no way they would take me now to be Wonder Woman." It's obvious that the character she's referring to is Faora, a part which Antje Traue ultimately ended up impressing in. It's interesting to ponder what might have been though, don't you think? Are you glad the Fast & Furious star ended up being chosen to play Wonder Woman?
