DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran unveiled the first part of their DCU slate a few weeks back, and while several major big and small-screen projects were announced, fans weren't given a definitive answer when it came to the status of one of the cornerstone's of the DC Comics roster: Wonder Woman.
A Paradise Lost TV series set in Themyscira is in the works, but, as far as we're aware, Diana will not feature.
Gunn did later confirm that he hadn't given Gal Gadot "the boot" as early rumors suggested, and had spoken to the actress, presumably about either staying on as or parting ways with the character.
Whether Gadot ends up returning as Wonder Woman or not, Gunn has now revealed that the character will definitely factor into his plans for the DCU, and won't be "abandoned" for too long.
Gunn still hasn't directly addressed Gadot's status, so there's a chance they're simply still trying to work out a new deal. Then again, if the DCU is going to have a new Superman and Batman, it probably makes more sense to cast a new Wonder Woman as well.
Would you guys like to see Gadot back as Diana, or would you rather the role was recast? Drop us a comment down below.
