SPECTRE DP Debunks Involvement With WB's WONDER WOMAN Movie

Despite initial reports that the Wonder Woman movie would have the award-winning Hoyte Van Hoytema as the director of photography, the cinematographer has unfortunately dismissed any involvement.

It seems Meet The Movie Press was a bit premature in reporting that the director of photography behind Interstellar, Her and the upcoming Spectre, Hoyte Van Hoytema, would be working on the Wonder Woman movie. When The Playlist reached out to the Dutch-Swedish cinematographer for confirmation earlier today, he told the site "I have nothing to do with that movie" in response.

That's really too bad as many were excited to see the Amazon Princess' standalone venture be filmed by Hoyte Van Hotema, whose previous films have been Oscar-winners. There is no word on who will actually be behind the camera when Wonder Woman starts shooting in London and Italy this fall, but the long-awaited movie will be directed by Patty Jenkins, and star Gal Gadot (Diana Prince) and Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), with a release date set for June 23, 2017. What do you think?

This is why I f%$#ing hate rumors!

Someone reports that something amazing is going to happen, getting all of our hopes up, and then another report has to come along just to squash them. George Miller is directing a Man of Steel 2? NOPE! The movie is on "permanent hold". An Oscar-winning DP is working on the Wonder Woman movie? NOPE! No DP is attached yet, so it's probably gonna be the same kind of dreary a$$hole who did the first Man of Steel.

This is why I'm so damn bitter these days, guys. Irresponsible journalism, taking advantage of CBM fans who want to see the DCEU get better, rather than carving itself into a rut.

Ah, hell with it. One way or another, I'm watching Wonder Woman. I just hope the movie is as good as it possibly can be; after the wait Warner Bros. has put DC fans through, and WW fans in particular, they owe us THAT much.

I just hope they get a cinematographer on the same level or even better than this guy. Wonder Woman needs to look spectacular

@TheFox to be fair, the MOS is on "permanent hold" thing was a rumor as well.

@NateBest @DCMarvelFreshman @JoshWilding @MarkJulian @Minty @RorMachine @KingPatel @EdGross @Gutspinner

I've noticed a spike in bans lately, just to be eventually reversed. Can one of you write an editorial about how to use the "block" button? I know some people sign in and say some inflammatory stuff (i guess), but one thing users here shouldn't do is take these things seriously! Certainly don't let anyone else take the reigns to their self-esteem.

These "banning wars" are just fanning the flames of negativity. And besides, nobody likes a tattle tale.

Instead of losing there temper and running to admins, users should JUST BLOCK THEM. And to any admins that are going along with these tattle tales, it's time to give these users some tough-love and refuse to ban people... instead, tell any complainers to use the block button like a grown-up.

For example, @Nickk was BUGGING the bejesus out of me with his psychedelic gifs, but did I complain? Nope! I just blocked him for a day until he got it out of his system and now I have him unblocked again... Sorry @nickk... I don't mean to put you on blast ;) but you're pretty much the only guy I've ever blocked, ever (even if it was just for a day).

The moral of the story; Even if there are a million Dexters on the site, users should fight their own battles the BIG BOY way, and shouldn't draw other people or the higher-ups into their drama, people. They/we've got better things to do.

If not him, they should get John Mathieson to do it. He's got the experience for it I believe. Here's just a few of his movies that he's worked on. Note: don't judge the movie on if it was bad or good in this regard, look at the visual asthetic.

Kingdom of Heaven

Robin Hood

Gladiator
