Last week brought the news that Warner Bros. had decided to debut Wonder Woman 1984 in theatres and on the HBO Max streaming service simultaneously on December 25, and since then we've seen several international TV spots promoting their respective Country's release date find their way online

These latest promos come from Vietnam, and contain a few snippets of new footage. There's more of Diana (Gal Gadot) reuniting with the resurrected Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), along with previously unseen shots of the Amazon hero running into action before taking to the skies. Plus, the second promo provides a few new glimpses of Wondy doing battle with the fully transformed Cheetah (Kristen Wiig).

Wonder Woman 1984 will roll-out overseas between the 16th and 18th before hitting theatres in the U.S. on Christmas day. The DC Comics sequel is then expected to stream on HBO Max for the first month (at no extra cost to subscribers), before returning to theatres for an additional few weeks and being made available for rental on demand.

How do you guys feel about this recent development? Did WB make the right call? Drop us a comment down below.

The moment this movie hits HBO Max those second weekend drops worldwide will be huge. Tenet was not enough, now they want to flop this one

@LameLuka - could have been the next 1 billion $ DC movie but people wouldn't stop crying about having to wait a few more months.
Not to mention the studio saying the movie would get stale (nice faith in your Director and movie WB)
Or maybe the stale part is about Pedro playing someone that looks like Trump (cause you know, hollywood loves to say how much they hate him lol)

@LameLuka

I don’t think they’ll be “that” huge. A lot of movies are released internationally before the US every year. Either you pirate movies or you don’t.

They used to think piracy would be the death of the industry and that’s just not the case.

Remember these ads? Haha

Man was that young Diana running slow as hell lol on paper lightning surfing sounds utterly ridiculous but I can’t lie it looks cool as hell

@BornToLose - Well, he almost has to if they follow continuity already set in other movies. Damn shame though because they are so good together (even if I originally wanted Chris Pine to be Hal Jordan).

Another final battle where the main villain turns into a CGI monster and it all takes place on a green screen.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 -
Sorry, they couldn't get an actual were-cheetah on set that day.

@Battabing - You think a guy like Guillermo Del Toro would have settled for CGI if he was in charge of this movie? They could have made it work practically, or used a mix of both.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 -
Jenkins did use a mix of practical and CGI.
