WONDER WOMAN 1984 "Wonder Woman Vs. Cheetah" LEGO Set Officially Revealed

Wonder Woman 1984 recently landed a new August release date, and we're now just left hoping that Patty Jenkins' DC Comics adaptation is able to meet that target. COVID-19 has caused chaos in Hollywood, and there's no guarantee that theaters will be open by the fall, never mind the summer!

In the meantime, we do have some new merchandise for the Wonder Woman sequel in the form of an amazing LEGO set which pits Diana Prince against both Cheetah and Maxwell Lord.

Based on some leaked spoilers for the film, this set does actually depict a moment in Wonder Woman 1984 from the final act, but it's too soon to say whether it will actually look like this on screen. However, something that is seemingly noteworthy is the fact Cheetah appears to be rocking a mane of white hair, and that's bound gives the Kristen Wiig's monstrous villain a unique look.

Warner Bros. has been insistent that Wonder Woman 1984 won't receive anything other than a theatrical debut, but it will be interesting seeing whether that changes, especially if another delay becomes necessary. Based on what Disney has done, though, it seems more likely that the follow-up would be pushed into 2021 before that happens!

Speaking of LEGO:

@tmp3 - That looks like 2 movies rolled up into 1, with an unnecessary JL inclusion/subplot. The Monster Society of Evil bit against Captain Marvel looks tons of fun! But Black Adam seems tossed in there for the sake of having him.

Really can't get hyped for anything now (no matter how much promotional material gets out), due to everything being pushed to the end of this year, IF we are being optimistic...

It's weird because the marketing has been paid for already and all of these magazine covers, stills, images and sets still get released like the films are still coming out on their initial release dates.

It's really annoying.

@kylo0607 - I've been meaning to say this about Black Widow...

Cheetah looks awful.

@Nebula - Cats (2019) flashbacks.

@JustALurker - Honestly, Taylor Swift as a cat was a better representation of Cheetah in live-action than whatever's going on with Kristen Wiig here.

@Nebula - CGI fur is no match for Tylor's beauty.

@Nebula - They may do some CGI-tweeking before it comes out, I think Ares was originally supposed to be a cloud.

@soberchimera - I mean hopefully but just the overall design is just no good. She should have ears on top of her head. I can't imagine they would add those on in post. As it stands, she just looks like an old woman with bodypaint on.

After all these years, you would think LEGO would have learned to maybe not reveal something that the studio themselves haven't yet.
