Back in November of last year when Wonder Woman had just kicked-off production, Said Taghmaoui (La Haine, Three Kings) gave an interview in which he said that he was playing a "superhero" in the movie.

At the time, it was assumed that he must simply have meant a heroic character, but now we have some new evidence that suggests Taghmaoui is indeed playing an established DC Comics hero.

The actor posted the following image to his Twitter last night:

The character is Andre Blanc-Dumont, who was former French mercenary and high-ranking member of The Blackhawks. These guys were a squadron of highly skilled World War II-era pilots of varied nationalities who served under a mysterious man known only as Blackhawk.

Does this mean there's a chance he'll also be making an appearance? Probably not, but it does potentially set up a future film set in this timeline.

Thoughts? Wonder Woman hits theaters next month.
