Fandango has done a survey recently and discovered that the most popular movie-inspired Halloween costume this year for women is Wonder Woman and for men is IT's Pennywise The Clown. That makes sense since both were massive box office juggernets for Warner Bros and were loved by audiences everywhere.

A lot of these popular Halloween costumes are from comic book movies this year, especially the costumes for women. As stated above, Wonder Woman is the top costume for women while other favorites Lorraine (Atomic Blonde) and even Hela (Thor: Ragnarok) were among the top choices. Meanwhile for men, the top superhero costume is surprisingly Star-Lord (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), beating the likes of Batman (Justice League) and even fan favorite Iron Man (Spider-Man: Homecoming). Superhero costumes for Superman and Spider-Man are surprisingly absent from the list as well.

Here are the complete lists showing the top 10 costumes for women and men:

Women
1. Wonder Woman (Wonder Woman)
2. Belle (Beauty and the Beast)
3. Leia (Star Wars: The Last Jedi)
4. Annabelle (Annabelle: Creation)
5. Rey (Star Wars: The Last Jedi)
6. Lorraine (Atomic Blonde)
7. Hela (Thor: Ragnarok)
8. Ahmanet (The Mummy)
9. Gamora (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2)
10. Valkyrie (Thor: Ragnarok)

Men
1. Pennywise The Clown (IT)
2. Stormtrooper (Star Wars: The Last Jedi)
3. Star-Lord (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2)
4. Batman (Justice League)
5. Baby (Baby Driver)
6. Luke Skywalker (Star Wars: The Last Jedi)
7. Wolverine (Logan)
8. Iron Man (Spider-Man: Homecoming)
9. Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales)
10. Kylo Ren (Star Wars: The Last Jedi)

I don’t dress up for Halloween anymore, but if I did I’d probably be Doctor Strange, mainly because his costume looks like actual clothes that you can wear and be comfortable in.

How on earth do you go as Baby Driver for Halloween? Wear a pair of sunglasses? One of the best movies of the year so far though.
