WONDER WOMAN International Trailer Contains A New Glimpse Of Ares; Brief Mother's Day Clip Released

A Chinese trailer for Wonder Woman has been released, and it contains some intriguing new shots of Gal Gadot's Diana in action against The God of War. We also have a brief new Mother's Day promo.

Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Zack Snyder and Patty Jenkins appeared at a press conference is Shanghai last night to promote the upcoming release of Wonder Woman, and they brought another international trailer for the film with them.

We have seen quite a lot of the footage before, but there are a few new shots of Diana facing-off against Dr. Poison, as well as a distant figure that is, presumably, Ares.

In addition, a brief clip was shared by the official Wonder Woman Twitter account to celebrate Mother's Day. It's not much, but we do get another glimpse of Diana training on Themyscira as Queen Hippolyta looks on approvingly.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, and Saïd Taghmaoui. Directed by Patty Jenkins, the movie is set for release on June 2nd, 2017.

Both BvS and Suicide Squad were attacked for their dark (night time) CGI-heavy climaxes. It's looking like this will do the same, as well as Justice League. Man of Steel was also a CG fest, but in the daylight setting they fared better even though those effects can be harder to pull off.

@MosquitoFarmer - everything is a CGI fest. That is a pointless criticism for ALL movies and the signature of a critic who went to school for journalism and got stuck reviewing movies when he wanted the local crime beat.
