WONDER WOMAN Passes $300 Million Worldwide; Director Patty Jenkins Comments On Returning To Helm The Sequel
The latest box office updates for Wonder Woman are in, as the movie's director discusses her potential return for the inevitable sequel while appearing on The Conan O'Brien show. Check it out...
Wonder Woman has now officially passed the $300 million mark at the global box office ($306.3m, to be precise) and is expected to bury The Mummy this weekend. Though a sequel has yet to be greenlit, if the DC flick keeps on busting blocks like this, one would assume it's pretty much an inevitability.
One thing that's not quite as certain, however, is director Patty Jenkins' continuing involvement. We recently found out that she hadn't actually signed on to helm a follow-up yet, but that too may only be a matter of time, as she definitely seems committed to continuing Diana's story on the big screen.
When asked about the possibility of returning for the sequel by Conan O'Brien, Jenkins responded: "We’re working on it. I hope to, I love it, I love the world, and we’re all really excited about it.”
It sounds like Jenkins is still working out a deal with Warner Bros., so hopefully it all goes to plan and we get some kind of official Wonder Woman 2 announcement soon.
