Wonder Woman 2 recently landed a December 2019 release date and now a new report points to the sequel shooting next June. That would line up with how much time Patty Jenkins is going to need and means we'll get casting news sooner rather than later. After all, aside from Gal Gadot, we're going to get an entirely new cast, right? Well, perhaps not as Chris Pine is expected to have a role in the sequel.
Whether that's going to be via flashbacks, some sort of unexpected return, or because we're going to meet a nephew or son remains to be seen but this claim certainly leaves us with food for thought!
Interestingly, it's also mentioned that the plan is for Wonder Woman 2 to be set during the Cold War in the 1980s. That's been rumoured before but it's best to take this with a pinch of salt for now. While another period piece movie has some potential, it would be far more interesting to set Diana Prince's next adventure in the present day as she steps out of the shadows to become a full-fledged superhero.
