Josh Boone Shares NEW MUTANTS Artwork Featuring Maisie Williams As Wolfsbane

New Mutants director Josh Boone has shared a very interesting piece of artwork by the same person responsible for that animatic offering up a possible first look at Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane...

Last year, an awesome animatic was released for New Mutants showing the fan-favourite heroes battling Demon Bear. That was illustrated by Ashley Guillory, and now director Josh Boone has taken to Twitter to share another piece of artwork, this time featuring her take on Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane. Now, we should probably caution that there's nothing to say this is official concept art for the movie, but Guillory is clearly involved, so it's certainly isn't just some fan-art!

The movie is still in the very early stages of production, though, so this isn't necessarily how Wolfsbane will look when all is said and done. It could just be that the artist came up with her take, and Boone liked it enough to share it online. Either way, there's no denying that it's a cool look for the hero!

Wolfsbane has been portrayed in a variety of ways over the years, so we don't know if she's mid-transformation here or if this will be her final look (in many comics, she actually becomes a full on wolf). Williams' involvement has already been pretty much confirmed, but this likely seals the deal, and with rumours pointing to shooting starting this year, here's hoping we hear something official sooner rather than later. What do you guys think of this possible take on the New Mutants character?

I haven't read anything with Wolfsbane but I'm not liking the look honestly. Seems a little cheesy
