While reading an article in the latest issue of the UK edition of OPM (Official Playstation Magazine) about Activision's decision to cancel planned releases of future
Guitar Hero titles and
True Crime: Hong Kong.
When they went on to talk about the franchises that the company would now be focusing on, I was more than a little surprised to come across the following:
"Activision has also been keen to point to its other properties like, erm, X-Men: First Class, Spider-Man and Transformers 3."
X-Men: First Class!?! Well, that's the first I've heard about them planning a video game adaptation of the upcoming prequel! It's not hard to believe that they're holding off on revealing the game when the adaptations for
Thor and
Green Lantern (both out at around the same time) have so far only provided us with a handful of screenshots and a couple of brief trailers.
I'm not sure about you guys, but I for one would love to play as Magneto, Beast and a few of the other character being introduced in the movie! With production on the movie being fairly rushed, it's also a possibility that the game will be released alongside the DVD and Blu-Ray.
