i think this is a miscasting if i have ever seen one.

I had no idea how funny Kevin Bacon was!
I have a whole new respect for this dude <3

^^Why is that? He has a right to his opinion and I have to agree with him. Scrawny Bacon looks nothing like Shaw. I think the film is fairly well cast, but Bacon playing Shaw makes no sense to me and I like Bacon as an actor.

^he has the right to his opinion but he's been trolling First Class articles since day 1.

I'm a fan who wants a good actor who looks the part. Shouldn't be that hard to understand. Why make concessions? Bacon is a little bit of a reach for my taste. I don't recall saying I wanted a muscular guy to play the part, but I certainly can't relate a string bean to the role of Shaw. There can be a happy medium. To each their own.

@ theastonoshingcyclops

he looks nothing like him,bad casting & don't tell me to piss off.

as ranger14 said i'm entitled to opinion like it or not.

@ captainamerica

they know i've got the icon to prove it,i bet you one of the seven that reported me.

very sad really,i haven't reported anyone not my thing.

if you don't like what i say don't read it.

Kevin Bacon is a talented actor and i for one think he looks a lot lkie Sebastian Shaw .. almost identical.

CherryBomb
CherryBomb - 5/23/2011, 7:55 AM
and when fanboys want Sebastian on screen to be a big beefy character, it's ridiculous. He's stereotypical portrayed as a prim and proper classical-styled man ... that doesn't include an over-muscled physique.
CaptainAmerica
CaptainAmerica - 5/23/2011, 7:56 AM
Please don't act like you didn't deserve it, there's a difference between stating an opinion and going into every First Class article and trolling.

No, i agree with marvel72, Bacon is miscast. And his behavior is nothing like that of a trolls. he posts on EVERY article. Anyway, nice interview i suppose.

@ captainamerica

i couldn't give a shit what anyone thinks of me,but there is other users that did question why i got trolled.

i just put it down to pissing off smallville & x-men first class fans.

does really bother users that much they have to report people.

@ tehdude

thanks for the support.

Bacon looks nothing like shaw. What I suspected happened with this film is that they picked the actors first then chose the mutant.

Considering this is supposed to be a 60's spy film Bacon could have been any multimillionaire with mutant powers planning to take over the world. Sebstian Shaw wasn't integral to the plot.

That's retarded.

how is saying that you dont like the 1st class movie trolling? silly question but im just asking, im with marvel i think this whole movie is silly, if they would just call it something else i might have been ok with it, to a real xmen fan it looks like thay got a dart bored with mutant names on it and just started throwing darts at whos going to be in the movie, and it makes me sad, because if they used the real 1st class it looked like it could have been a good movie
YeaOkYea
YeaOkYea - 5/23/2011, 11:34 AM
I would've rather have seen Bacon play Mister Sinister than Sebastian Shaw. It would make more sense since Sinister is known to use mutant DNA for his diabolical experiment plans than Shaw. The Hellfire club should've been the sequel villains AND with the real Hellfire club members Sebastian Shaw (Black King) , Emma Frost (White Queen), Donald Pierce (White King), Selene Gallio (Black Queen), Harold LeLand (Black Bishop), etc...

CherryBomb@ Umm..I think the images you posted prove our point better than it does yours. I don't see how you see any resemblance between the two other the the receding hairline and Bacon is lacking in that category. Nose is different, eyes are different, facial structure is completely different.... I don't get what you are seeing, but like I said...to each their own. Again, I didn't say he needed to be a big muscular guy, but he shouldn't be scrawny either. You can be prim and proper and not be scrawny. I suggest you look look at more images of Shaw from the comics. ;-)

@nuck, he isn't trolling in this article, there's been plenty of articles where he has though. Saying that he doesn't like the casting is not trolling.
