Comic superstar Charles Soule & Steve McNiven explore the untimely end of the Great White North’s most well-known mutant hero. Each cover features stunning cover art gorgeously rendered by Steve McNiven and proudly displays the Maple Leaf flag of Logan’s proud home and native land of Canada.

Born in Alberta, Canada – James Howlett’s long and eventful life now comes to an end. He has been counted among the X-Men, the Avengers and Canada’s own Alpha Flight. He’s fought alongside heroes in numerous wars. He’s been the headmaster of a school for gifted youngsters. He has been the best there is at what he does for over a century. But the day has come where his best is not enough…

Left without his mutant healing factor, his enemies now close in for the kill – and the Wolverine faces his greatest battle alone. As he runs the gauntlet of his deadliest foes, be there when the once indestructible killing machine makes his final stand! What does a world without Wolverine look like? Be there when DEATH OF WOLVERINE shakes the foundations of the Marvel Universe this September!

These would be cool if they actually put any thought into them... instead they just plastered the Canadian flag on the covers.

It's nice they are directly referencing Wolverine's Canadian heritage, but these covers could use some creativity.

Josh, you didn't say Wolverine is also a lover... That's bush league!

"The Death of Wolverine."

AKA Disney/Marvel's latest "FÜCK YOU!" to Fox.

"You won't give us rights back to Fantastic Four? We'll devalue the property by not doing any FF merchandising and canceling the comic that started it all." And now they're pulling similar shît with X-Men's most popular mutie.

Believe me; Disney/Marvel wants nothing more than to get these properties back under their complete creative control and now they're killing off Wolverine, the only character in Fox's Marvel portfolio worth keeping.

Canadian variant, and all they do is plaster the Canadian flag in the background. Fellow Canadians, we should rise above this and demand freedom for the North!!!!

They didn't just paste the Canadian flag on these! If you buy them, you'll find that, if you scratch them and then sniff them, they smell like maple syrup.

Better?

Is he really going to die?
Or is he going to get sent to an alternate plane of grim existence where Sabretooth rules as king?
And how is Sabretooth planning to send NYC to this other dimension when the Earth is presently cut off from space and time travel?

Yes, as a Canadian, I approve - don't mind the Canadian flag plastered all over the place. Lord knows we see enough of the US flag (just sayin')....
I like the third cover best...
