(Spoilers Ahead). Hello everyone and what a great ending of the year this is. We are being treated to so much great news regarding comic book films and glimpses into the future ahead. One of the recent bigger announcements was Bryan Singer's return to the X-Men franchise once again in X-Men: Apocalypse which is slated to be released in 2016. Another huge announcement that has recently come also is how the latest X-Men film, Days of Future Past, while tie into the movie altogether. This is where the fire has begun to rise among all the fans.

In my opinion it seems as much a brilliant idea to introduce one of the X-Men's greatest villains. For once it would be hard to explain the entire essence of Apocalypse on the screen so it is a more simplified version. Also knowing his back story heavily involves ancient history itself. The question many people have asked is why does Apocalypse want to merge with Magneto and especially the one of the past. For starters I looked upon the line Apocalypse speaks where he mentions, "Rivers of time". This is where it heavily hints the character of Apocalypse has a real connection to the character of Magneto. "I am your future", is the line Apocalypse speaks next. It is now clear Magneto is the exact embodiment of what Apocalypse is. Speaking out of terms towards the character of Apocalypse in the comics, the word is a translation of the phrase "destruction". Apocalypse being an ancient being wouldn't have enough energy in realistic terms to subdue himself against the world for his powers to be on full limits. Magneto however craves the power being the man he is. Apocalypse was searching for his energy to become him, a more powerful being.

In the comics before Apocalypse has merged with Cyclops due to his physical form being drowned from the amount of energy he controls. As he needed a host to hold that amount of power. Which is what Magneto is now. Apocalypse saw into Magneto's future. Apocalypse in his own physical form would be too complicated to handle. His own presence alone would be too great for the Earth to handle in a capacity. So again this is on the scale of realism to make it seem more out there. This is only a spiritual version in tune with what he is. I can't wait for X-Men: Apocalypse. This is the right way to handle a villain of this magnitude. Voice your opinions down in the comments below and have a great day!
