i am not sure why everyone cares so much about when this film takes place. Fox doesn't. Fox never cares about contradictions, that's why they have so many plotholes.

just enjoy the film for what it is: wolverine's japanese adventure.

Ask if he gets his trademark costume!

soberchimera - 10/22/2012, 10:30 AM
@jessepostal That will never happen, he has one of the dorkiest costumes in comics history. His gruff exterior is completely torn away when he puts on that ridiculous yellow outfit. Singer gave the character back his dignity when he took it away.

i want to know if he will don a version of the comic costume, cowl and all. not that him in or out of costume will have an effect on my opinion of the movie. i have a feeling this one will be the movie we been waiting for

@sober, i think a lot of people on here would disagree. They don't have to give him the yellow costume, the brown one would be fine. I don't even think the color is what even matters. Caps was very hard to pull off,and they did and did it well.

I feel it's a given that this ties in to D.O.F.P. Certianly interested to hear what they say.

Sorry your thinking doesn't follow logic. He's worn the same costume for 30 years which by your thinking means he never had any diginity to give back in the first place.

I don't need a costume to enjoy this movie. I could understand why iconic characters like Spider-Man and Batman wear a costume. But why should Wolverine or The Punisher? Punisher did just fine without a costume in the 2 films he was in. Wolverine's costume was more of an outfit in the X-Men trilogy and while it still didn't serve a purpose, he didn't look like an idiot in a mask.

@jessepostal Yeah, but Cap's character goes with his costume, he's very patriotic and goes against all odds to serve his country. Wolverine's dark past and renegade attitude just don't match with that bright yellow costume. I do like his X-Force costume though.

@Newbus The characterization of Wolverine over the years had been fantastic, but even today's writers will admit that Wolverine's original costume in this day and age can't be taken seriously which is why so many artists have changed it or have had wolverine just wear his civilian clothes.

@sober, I see what your saying and that's why I said I don't think people will care what color. Obviously there not gonna make it bright yellow.

Ill wait till the trailer come out before I judge this. it's based on the original wolverine miniseries so that's a plus I'm going to be cautiously optimistic x-men 3 and origins may have badly sucked but first class was fantastic and the director is a good

Yellow costume... Brown Costume... I just want a costume with references to his comic book costume. In the X-movies he had a costume. Not like the comics, but with references. Check out his torso area & you'll see the triangular stripes... even on the shoulders.
Something like that is all I ask for.

without the costume its just some dude impersonating wolverine. the "singer costume" makes him look like he is about to show up to austins ROT rally.

it really is a shame that they have screwed up one of the greatest comic characters of all time. this could have been a 'batman-esque' franchise.

@soberchimera61

Co-sign the Uncanny X-Force costume. Maybe add some gold piping for nostalgia's sake.

1st Class showed that the traditional colors could work, as long as its not tooo tooo spandex-y.

BUT NO BATMAN BODY ARMOR/HOCKEY PADS PLEASE!! My only request for this movie

@marvel, i still haven't, i kinda got bored with it and stopped in the middle of Chris's story. I guess that's all that needs to be said about that game haha. It gets very repetitive
