Hugh Jackman Reveals A Desire To Star In A Movie As WOLVERINE With DEADPOOL

Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds) made his big screen debut in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and when IGN Movies caught up with Hugh Jackman recently, they asked him whether he would be interested in again starring opposite a new and improved version of the fan favourite character. "We sort of took a pretty strong choice on Deadpool, where we kind of stitched him up. And I love the character of Deadpool and I think that the sort of badass, fast-talking, funny, annoying Deadpool vs Wolverine would still be cool. We’ve sort of done it, but I think we could have done that much better." @Luminus his time was over because no one wants to star in a franchise that is as borked as the FOX-Men. With DOFP they effectively erased all traces of the past movies which adds a fresh breath of air and they can effectively change everything (including the retarded Wolvie Origins Deadpool). It's a clean slate, who doesn't want to take part in a franchise with a clean slate where all mistakes are gone and you can effectively create something similar to the MCU, with proper continuity and everything tying in nicely.

That's what happened.

As much as I want a Deadpool movie, it won't happen. Mainly, because Fox wouldn't risk an R rated X-flick UNLESS it was Wolverine 3 or Old Man Logan (or something of the sorts) because they know it has a chance of succeeding because of Wolverine alone. Doing it with Wolverine first might just give Fox the confidence to try with Deadpool. And they probably wouldn't make an R rated movie because Hugh Jackman doesn't like the idea of keeping his younger fans away. Wolverine could possibly have two cuts (one being R and one being PG-13) and that may work, but not for Deadpool. For Wolverine, just add more blood, more swears, have the Claws do a little bit more, and you're good. If you're making an R rated Deadpool movie, it had no chance of being turned into PG-13. Not a chance. Unless Fox pussys out. Which they will.

People should understand that if Jackman got in on the Deadpool movie it would no longer be a Deadpool movie, it would be yet another Hugh Jackman as Wolverine movie featuring Deadpool.

Having seen DOFP, I'm all for another take on the Weapon X programme (obviously better handled this time). From what I gather, Hugh is keen to stay on because of the promise that the franchise now holds, which sort of goes against the idea of covering old ground, but we shall see.

Also I do not know how they would make a Deadpool movie as any actor that plays DP will either have the mask on all the time or have a his face covered in cancerous tumors and when was the last time any superhero movie came out which had the starring role wear a mask for the entire movie or even 50% of the movie for that matter.
