@ethic

He can't say anything about DOFP, has talked with Singer but that's as far as its gone. The Wolverine will reference many characters. Possible cameos via "thought bubbles", which I think means flashbacks and mentioned Fassbender being one of them but didn't mention any more names.

I dont want him to be central, the first class characters should be central, all the xmen movies where about him..and instead of sharing the load of the movie for other characters it was all him,hes had his spot light

when u go the route of time travel....more often then not it complicates things. more complications is the last thing this franchise needs. but...lets hope for the best.

Wolverine is getting his own solo movie. However, I'd love for him to appear in X: DOFP in more than a cameo role. Not lead role, not cameo. Give him a supporting role. He gets a few dialogue scenes and two action scenes. Don't have the plot revolve around him. We've had that for X2, Origins, The Wolverine, and we ALMOST had it in X-Men 2000. Enough. Let him support the group by doing what he does best. No more.

Hugh Jackman is such a cool actor and I hope he has a big enough part in this movie

You can love or hate him as Wolverine, but he seems like one of the nicest, most down to Earth actors out there. Seems like he really is a team player and will do what is needed of him at a drop of a hat. Hugh, you really eff'd up Wolverine but you got my vote to carry-on.

I love Hugh Jackman & his commitment to play Wolvie as best anyone can.

At the same time, I am literally more excited to see him in Les Miz . . .

...rather than Bryan Singer's great placation to Fox to keep the X-Men movie rights. What was going on in Singer's mind? "Hmmm, 1st Class was original, what can I come up with? Oh yeah, let me throw all my previous actors and pop-science about darwinism back in the mix and call it DOFP to get the hardocore X-Fans off my back".

I guarantee this will not be true to the comics, and not very good nevertheless.

Ginnifer Goodwin from Once Upon a Time would make a great Kitty Pryde, if Ellen Page doesn't do it.

I can live with the perils of time travel continuity hell... IF, and only if, it erases Xmen 3 and xmen origins: wolverine from continuity.

I wish Vaughn was still doing this, Singer hasnt made a good cbm yet and this'll be his 4th one. Altho Jackman is no where near my 1st choice Im still kinda glad he's sticking to this character altho, I think the dude who wanted bob hoskins to play him is a genius.

Trank doin FF, Mangold doin Wolverine and Vaughn doin 1st class all point to Fox sorting their shit out its just a shame Singers (never liked any of his xmen movies bland bland bland and the less said about his superman movie the better) been brought back in to do the 1st class sequel but I have a feeling Fox are gonna be the true victors outta them and disney/marvel in the long run, we might actually get some well made, cool films outta fox whereas marvels efforts have been somewhat lackluster in my opinion, their choice of directors has always seemed incredibly uninspired to me -

Whedon, favro,Branagh, The rocketeer fella all stink of directors chosen to fulfill the disney/marvel middle of the road money mens visions and not their own idiosyncratic visions which is how films should always be created, dont get me wrong marvels films arent awful, they just aint all that great either.

Give me a director with an idiosyncratic vision over generic cine-verse friendly directors all day long.

Vaughn (kick ass, 1st class), Snyder(300,watchmen superman), Nolan (Batman Trilogy), Webb (Amazing Spiderman), Del Toro (hellboy), Trank(chronicle,FF), Mangold(wolverine), Rodriguez(sin city), Mc teigue (V for Vendetta), Burton (Keaton batman, Gunn (super) all (except Mangold who im sure will) have made great superhero/comic book adapted/inspired films with a real weight and coolness behind them which didnt pander to a studio/moneymen perceived generic audience and werent restricted by the limitations of a 'cine-verse' (which has been Disney/Marvels downfall in my opinion).

However their is hope for Marvel with both Shane Black (iron man 3) and Gunn (gotg)being hired. Its just The Russo bros(capt A winter soldier) and Alan Taylor (thor 2) who worry me slightly.

Comic book and superhero/power movies lend themselves brilliantly to Auteuristic directors with an idiosyncratic visual/atmospheric vision and a darker (not necessarily gritty, Nolanesque) style, this is where I believe Marvel have been going wrong, an unpopular opinion sure but one that at the least merits consideration. Marvel be it due to the restrictions of a 'cine-verse' ( a mouth watering proposition to any comic book fan but one not so mouth watering to a good cinema fan who credits a films quality usually to an unrestricted director who is allowed to fulfill his/her own vision and not that of the studios moneymen) or be it due to Disney aiming at too younger an audience/market havent quite made the masterpiece such a great cast of characters deserve.
