Yesterday, Hugh Jackman asked X-Men fans around the globe what they would like to see in the next solo-Wolverine film. A day later, he's still combing through all of the responses but he'd like to let his fans know that he's thankful for their support, over the last sixteen years.

AWESOME RESPONSE! #THANKYOU

The third solo-Wolverine film and second outing for the James Mangold/Hugh Jackman combination will arrive in theaters on March 3, 2017. David James Kelly wrote the initial draft of the script, which was subsequently re-written by Michael Green (Smallville, Heroes, Green Lantern). Filming is expected to start in early-2016. The Wolverine 2 will reportedly mark Hugh Jackman's last on screen performance as the X-Men's most popular character. Additional, unconfirmed rumors speculate that the film will be based on the Old Man Logan comic, penned by Mark Millar and penciled by Steve McNiven in 2008.

I didnt lik him as Wolverine at first. I had problems with his height. I changed my mind immediately after X2. From then he's got the look and the attitude of Wolves that I love. Thank you Hugh Jackman for bringing the Wolverine to life!!

I'm betting at least 3/4 of the comments he received were about putting on the costume finally. Hugh has been great but after 15 years the fans deserve Wolverine in all his glory.

Yes, he did a great job as Wolverine. He started out on the rough side: too tall, too skinny, but he ALWAYS had the right attitude to make up for his pitiful beginning. He then made up for that with his AMAZING physique and pure dedication to the character.

Great job Hugh! May you go on to BIGGER and BETTER things!

Now.....gimmee the brown costume!!!

Noman, , please, NO.

NOT "Old Man Logan".

It's X-Men meets The Hills Have Eyes.

It's the wrong way to end his career as Logan.

I don't have a suggestion for another story line, to be honest.

But, PLEASE NOT "Old Man Logan".

It was a HORRIBLE run.

Put on the yellow and brown suit.

Just don't do that depressing story line as Hugh Jackman's last bow as Wolverine.

Man, at this point it seems like we might end up getting a loose adaption of "Old Man Logan". I'm honestly not a fan of the story ark but I mean if they do it to kill him off in an honorable way far down in the future of be cool with that. But honestly, I just want to see him face off against his old Team X members one last time while also being a flashback film to show a proper representation of his original Weapon X days.

I just hope that whatever they do they go all out with full compassion.

I really really really hope they don't recast him. I'd rather wolverine be killed off in the final movie, I hate the idea of recasting this guy.

@obredaan

I tweeted him at least 4 times asking for him to wear a classic suit battling off Team X (with listed names) I hope he saw them.
