Hugh Jackman Will Begin Filming THE WOLVERINE In August
Aussie actor Hugh Jackman (Les Misérables) has gone to his twitter account and tweeted that filming for James Mangold's The Wolverine will begin in August. Are you excited?
Last update that we had on the film was a month ago when 20th Century Fox's CEO Tom Rothman at Las Vegas' CinemaCon said that part of The Wolverine would be filmed in Japan. More specifically location work would take place in Japan and studio work in Australia.
Plot - Logan beginning a forbidden romance with a Japanese woman whose hand in marriage is, unfortunately, promised to another man. Since Logan won’t take “no” for an answer, it puts him into battle with her father and her samurai-sword-wielding brothers and Silver Samurai.
The Wolverine will be directed by James Mangold (Knight and Day), the script has been written by Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects). Hugh Jackman will of course be back in the lead role of Logan/Wolverine, and the film will claw into theaters July 26, 2013.
