Lauren Shuler Donner Offers Brief Updates On X-Men 4 And Deadpool

Deadpool, a First Class sequel, and an update on a possible "X-Men 4".

Lauren Shuler Donner, who has produced all of the X-Men movies, good and bad (I'm looking at you "The Last Straw"... er, "The Last Stand"), has given an update in a recent interview about the fate of Fox's future "X-Men" movies while promoting the media day for the Blu-Ray release of "X-Men: First Class".

In regards to "X-Men 4", despite having Bryan Singer signed on as a director for that and "X-Men 5" (!), don't expect it to be in the forseeable future. She said the following on the site:
"There could be an X4, but I think for now we don’t want to saturate the market," she said. "I think there was such a good response to First Class that if we go forward in that universe, we'll probably make a sequel [to First Class]."

A "Deadpool" spin-off, though, seems like it is, surprisingly, the most likely to be made next. Here's what the site said:

Pre-production on X-Men Origins: Deadpool is moving forward, with director Tim Miller busy conceptualizing the film’s aesthetic. "In the next couple of months we'll be presenting some things to the studio," said Shuler Donner. "Deadpool is going to be way different from any of the other X-Men movies. It's very crazy, more R-rated."

What do you guys think?
