We haven't had any updates on Fox's planned New Mutants flick in a while, so fans have been asking director Josh Boone how he's getting on via social media. Boone, who is also writing the script with Knate Gwaltney, assured them that everything was going well, but that he can't divulge any details just yet. He then posted the following image to his Instagram page to prove it.

#X-Men #NewMutants not done yet but we have a lot of pages

It's pretty much impossible to make out so much as a single word, but that certainly is a lot of pages! There have been several incarnations of this team over the years but the most popular members have always been the likes of Cannonball, Magic, Wolfsbane, Mirage, and Sunspot - who actually popped up in last year's X-Men: Days Of Future Past, so there's a good chance he'll be on the roster at least. Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg are producing the movie which doesn't have an official release date yet, but is expected to aim towards Fox's July 2018 spot.
