Of course, Wolverine won. Now don't get me wrong I thought Hugh Jackman did a great job playing the movie universe's version of that character but was he the best interpretation of the comic book version? I don't think so. In fact there are 4 or 5 on that list I would put before him, including Patrick Stewart's Professor X who came in at second.

Wolvie won out with 1,151 Votes (28.55%), Prof X wasn't too far off with 1,031 Votes (25.58%) and Michael Fassbender as Eric Lenssher in X-Men: First Class came third with 569 Votes (14.12%).

Nightcrawler was great. Ashamed to admit I don't know the actors name. And Patrick Stewart is always top notch whatever he does. Best man to ever helm a starship.

I must say, Hugh Jackman was born to be Wolverine as much as Reeves was meant to be Superman. He is unreplaceble!!

I agree 100%. The most annoying and obnoxious comic book fans are 1) Batman fanboys, followed closely by 2) Wolverine fanboys.

No matter what, they vote for these characters to "win" everything. They're delusional.

Patrick Stewarts Prof. X was portrayed the best and it's not even close.

I'm surprised Wade Wilson didn't get more votes. Granted Deadpool was butchered but Reynolds played Wilson very well.

I thought the question was "Best represented" and not "Best adapted". My mistake. I want a re-vote so i can vote for wolverine instead of charles xavier.

My only complaint with Nightcrawler is his costume. I really liked him though!

Ok, Jackman wasn't THAT much of a deviation folks, don't over react. Sure he was taller and not quite as ferocious but that part was always inevitable in a pg13 movieverse. His motivations, personality and temperament were all in tact. Wolverine has been written a lot of different ways, he isn't always the blood thirsty berserker ya know. In fact more often that not he is a noble warrior that is only ruthless when he has to be. That was Jackman's Wolverine.

Oh and Batman and Wolverine have so many fans because they are icons that attract the best comic book writers in the world. Deal with it.

@ Ror

You have some good points there, but I'm going to have to disagree on that. Hugh Jackman was a good wolverine yes, especially for this "pg13universe" but, he's not the BEST PRESENTED and I think thats where at argument is. I would of prefered someone that was shorter, and more believable...IT was because of hugh Jackman they made him taller in the comics now...TOTAL BS!! If you ask me.

I would of voted NightCrawler...or Professor X....Michael Fassbender was good too.

Ah, each his own right lol

Colossus was practically a cameo he deserved more screen time. The Xmen movies were fine but it was barely a super team movie. We pretty much had 4 wolverine movies with another on the way

@nomis and hardcore comic book fans. The sooner you accept that the majority ticket sales are due to those who do not read comics, the better. I am not a hardcore comic book fan, just a casual reader. but i love a well characterized, well represented story in a movie that i spend money to watch. when we watch the movie we do not consider the historic icons and "source material". we just want to be entertained for the money we spend.
fro example: still green lantern fans swear that the movie was totally fricking awesome. they are a small percentage. But the majority of us think it was the shittiest movie we ever say. I am sorry to say this, but it is impossible for hardcore CBM fans ever do a honest review of a CBM that the masses would appreciated. they always have that agenda of tricking people into watching the movie of their choice so they can get another shit sequel.

People keep comparing the characters backgrounds and stories from the comics to the movie. I think many people are missing the point that the poll asks who is best represented. In my opinion, that means who has received the most screen time or who has been the demanding presence on screen. The clear answer is of course Wolverine because he received the most time on screen. I think Fassbender's Erik Lensherr was a very demanding presence in First Class and I think Stewart's Xavier was a very well respected representation on screen.

Also I never cared too much for Wolverine in the comic book and cartoon world. He kind of annoyed me sometimes in fact. I have always been a Punisher guy and my favorite character in the X-Universe has always been Magneto. However, seeing Jackman's interpretation of Logan made me favor Wolverine a lot more. I felt like I could take him more seriously.

Stewart as Xavier and Grammar as Beast. I haven't seen FC yet so I can't comment on that.

Cumming did a great job as Nightcrawler, but the character lacked his swashbuckling personality from the comics.

Jackman did a great job as the movie Wolverine but it wasn't very close to the comic book version.

@relias33 - "best represented" means whose big screen adaptation was closest to their comic book counterpart, not who got the most screen time.
