yeah i had a feeling they will release this in november 2012.and its much better choice in my opinion then to put it in a very crowded summer. although, winter will be very crowded too-i think it has much better chance at the box office, and maybe, just maybe they will be going for some awards??

they should cast ken watanabe.

also at least they're casting japanese people for japanese roles.

unlike so many miscasts that happen in cbm's.

Hmm, might the female Eurasian lead role = Psylocke?

As long as they dont put Kristen Kreuk in it, I'll be happy...On another note, I kinda liked that Origins was quite mutant-heavy, and I hope they go the same way with this one.

I'm gonna go with somebody different for SS and say Russell Wong. Not Japanese but definitely a good actor and has got the martial arts skill.

@ Caedus137
Did you ever read the Wolverine 4 issue story by Claremont and Miller this movie is based on??? It was mostly fights with the Hand and Wolverine struggling with his wild animal side. That comment about wishing it will be mutant-heavy almost sounds like something a FOX executive would say without any regards to the source material. Now, I don't mind if they change it a little and add one or two mutants but adding a lot would change it too much and seem like a gimmick to sell more action figures or to create opportunities for more FOX spin-offs.

I don't know anything about the japanese saga, so I couldn't really say.
I've only seen 2 films by Aranofsky; The Wrestler, which was fantastic, and Black Swan, which was a bit too artsy fartsy for me, and I got a bit bored watching it. However, I can see why it won at the Oscars. That been said, I reckon he's gonna make a film about Wolverine that will really strike a nerve, not just with CBM fans, but the movie going public in general. I am definitely looking forward to this film.

I am guessing the Eurasian will most likely be Yukio, and the first 2 are probably Shingen and Mariko. Since fox have the rights to the Hand they should use them in this movie. pretty hopeful about this movie since the last time jackman and aronofsky teamed up, jackman probably gave the best performance of his career in the Fountain.

ABLEE337 - I haven't read that one actually no, although I really liked "Enemy Of The State" and that was very Hand / Japan heavy... And I do take your point about overloading it with secondary characters and taking too many liberties with the source material. Personally I just think an extra mutant or two, the odd familiar face, would be a positive thing as long as they actually serve the story and help drive the narrative. I'm looking forward to this one.

Tadanobu Asano as Kenuichio Harada / Silver Samurai

Ken Watanabe or Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Lord Shingen Yashida

Gong Li, Maggie Cheung or Yunjin Kim (from Lost) as Mariko Yashida

Sorry if I came off a little strong by saying you sound like an FOX executive, I'm just permanently scarred from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, because the Weapon X story line was one of my favorite things in comics and they crushed a part of my childhood with that movie. I'm looking forward to this one too.
