I the only thing I hated about the trailer was...Sabertooth. I think they should have stuck with the design from the X-Men, the first movie.

you guys are stupid your saying that you actually liked that brainless version of sabertooth apparently no one here has ever read a comic i think that this sabertooth is gonna be hella bad in comparison to whatever two bit actor it was that played in the first one but i do agree bout the blob maybe about 30 lbs more hahah

Dude, where the hell is Deadpool, I'm tired of seeing him without his mask...I need a trailer or screenshot with him in his full getup, including his bad ass mask.

Shot of Gambit with staff slamming on ground was pretty cool, as is shot of slow mo fight between Wolverine and Sabretooth. I'm a big fan of Wolverine, and I really don't see any of the qualms that people have been complaining about this trailer in talkbalks I have read.

The problem with all of the Marvel Movies except for Spiderman, Hulk and of course Ironman is that the costume designers/writers/producers all seem to think that the characters shouldn't look like the comicbook/cartoon versions.. They seem to feel like the audience doesn't want to see them in their original costumes but rather all black outfits or regular street clothes. What would be wrong with Wolverine in his original outfit? Or Deadpool in his? There seems to be a thought that these "superheroes" will only be accepted wearing street clothes..LOL or even a less than furry Sabertooth.. YIKES!!!!

I have no problem with the costumes in the movies. spandex does not work with movies. the material of choice for comic book heroes seems to be spandex, but obviously that doesn't work for movies. haven't you ever seen a person with a wolverine costume for Halloween? LAME! leather works good for the x-men. the comics are a little outta hand. costumes don't match anymore. the original x-men had matching costumes, they were a team. the movie made them work great. and i don't care what you guys say, i thought they had the look of fantastic four perfect. more so the first movie than the second. the second movie had the scientific surrealist surroundings. (reed's lab etc.) but the first movie had all of the characters perfect. everybody says that "sue doesn't look like sue" but all sue is is a blond. Jessica looked perfect in the first movie. in more recent comics, the character of Susan has a much more dynamic quality. she kicks ass. she doesn't walk around in a 60's hair-do getting captured and disappearing so she can run away. i was just disappointed the movies didn't have her flying(on force fields of course)

Yeah... Um... the costumes....whatever... I was not aware that Gambit was a big part of Wolverine's development. Didnt know that Deadpool was either. Or the Blob. Or Emma Frost. The only one i really heard of was Captain America. Pretty sure they fought in WWII together. Side by Side. I know that Sabertooth and Wolverine go far back. The actor might or might not do well in the part. I personally think they should get the dude from Twilight (The bad guy...the blonde one with that actually stayed to kill whatserface), cause with the black eyes he looks incredibly like an animal. Maybe i should look a bit more into the character of Deadpool, but is Ryan Reynolds a good choice? I think he is suited for The Flash more than anything. But thats in DC.

WTH WTH WTH... WHY!?!?!?

The changed the movie... made it lamer...

In the first trailer, Wolverine says:

"How about I cut your Goddamn head off?"

In this version he only says:

"I'm goin to cut your head off"

I'm sure they must have toned down other stuff as well. Not a good sign.

The guy playing Sabertooth, Liev, hes a great actor and very underated. He's gonna do justice to the character the same way that hugh jackman does to wolverine. They are also gonna show the history behind their releationship. Cait wait to see that. And you already know that gambit and wolvie are going to dance, that looks like a gonna be a good fight.

TRAILEER IS AWSOME..MOVIE WILL BE AWSOME.SOME CRITIQUES ON SABERTOOTH, BUT IN ALL HONESTY, A MUCH BETTER ACTOR THAN TYLER MANE, HE MAY NOT LOOK IT AS MUCH BUT HE WILL BE A BETTER SABERTOOTH WHEN WE SEE HIM ACT AND INTERACT.WATCH...
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 12/14/2008, 6:26 AM
yeah anyone who wants Tyler mane is very misguided!

grtman, those other heroes have alter egos and secret identities, thats why they wear the costumes..logan is logan. and DID wear a costume in the first 3 xmen movies or did you think it was a coincidence that they all wore black leather? he just didnt have the pointy mask which would have served no purpose because he wasnt hiding his identity. and why would he have a costume in his origin movie when he didnt atart wearing one until he joined the xmen?

i can't believe people are crying about this trailer, it looks so freakin sweet.

1. Sabretooth in the original X-Men movie had like 5 LINES! how can you say that you'd rather have the guy who barely speaks & wears fur around his whole body than have a Sabretooth who looks like a military beast. Liev looks pimpin for this movie.

2. Gambit looks awesome, the staff scene looks so sweet.

3. Costumes...seem overrated now. If they make another one of these then yeah I think they should develop costumes no doubt.

4. Just shut up & go see the movie so they can make another one!

why are people dissing liev before they even watch the movie?

this sounds a lot like comments on heath ledger being cast as the joker before anyone saw the movie.
and uh oh... what happened?

he was amazing.

MAIN REASON WOLVERINE DOESNT WEAR A COSTUME..SINGER..BRIAN MUHER*@#$ SINGER...I WANNA SEE HIM WEAR THE DENG COSTUME, DUH NOT SPANDEX, MAKE IT WORK, WHY DOES WOLVIE WEAR A COSTUME AND MASK? BECAUSE HE WANTS TO ENJOY A BEER AND SMOKE IN PEACE WITHOUT A CHAIR BEING BROKEN OVER HIS HEAD FOR BEING RECOGNIZED AS A MUTANT..

I thought the trailer was pretty good. The movie will be way better once they get to unfold to story and let us see how they come into their charcter. I like what they did with Sabertooth cause he still gonna be a real asshole in this movie just like he was in X-Men. Oh and Logan-X, when does the bad part come in the trailer, all u say is k looks cool. However i would like to see deadpool in his full costume because that is how people remember him other than his wisecracks. That is why the producers and directers of the x-men movies dont put him in the yellow or brown costume because wolverine is remembered for his adamantium claws, not his costume. I am a huge Gambit fan and he will be a very intersting character to watch in this movie because he can be acted very badly by Tyler, however i do not believe that will happen. Will be the highest grossing movie of the 2009 year. Maybe

Meangreenhulk, only a grade A moron would make a statement like that so im not even going to bother with you

logan x, you say you think the trailer sucks, then proceed to say everything in it looks cool! dude, at least have something to back up your arguement. im assuming what you think sucks about this is the costumes (or lack thereof)..its amazing to me that people really give a shit so much. You all agree that wolverine in the yellow spandex would look ridiculous yeah? but your all saying "put him in something, make it work!" What exactly? why dont you guys tell me what you would like to see wolverine wearing??

as for sabertooth, in the first xmen he may have looked a bit more like he did in the comic but he was played by a [frick]ing wrestler with about as much acting ability as a table and your saying youd rather him than a great actor like liev schreiber? you know what, your right, i think you will hate this movie because its focusing on character, storyline and performances but all you seem to care about is what it looks like

Wow. A lot of crying going on about the new trailer. I can surely understand, from a comicfan's perspective that someone might feel passionate about costumes and comic continuity. Understandable. As an older comic fan who has had to suffer since the 70's with live action television debacles, such as Wonder Woman and Shazam, I for one am happy that the quality of these films has improved. Hopefully, in the future these movies will continue to get better, I'll take a watered down Wolverine movie any day of the week than a craptacular Roger Corman Fantastic Four flick.
909iriekine
909iriekine - 12/14/2008, 3:04 PM
still crying about custom and liev and everything else about the movie just shut up and go watch it why would u want wolvie to wear a mask u cant see human emotion when his in agony and in pain and the intense face when his fighting again stop crying and go see the movie and enjoy could be worse and not make a movie or get somebody else to play wolvie and then hear u all cry baby complain about that.
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 12/14/2008, 4:55 PM
i would have prefered they call the movie Wolverine too..but they didnt!

ok, wer do i start here! my not being bothered by wolverine in jeans and a tank top isnt really on par with making the hulk purple now is it?
As for all those other mutants in the movie, well it doesnt bother me but i see wer your coming from.
And it was always going to be set in the past, its an origins movie! But part of it will be set up to just before wolvie joins Xmen.
im not really sure what you mean about the spidey scene..are you saying you never want to see the heroes out of costume?
now with the whole wolverine costume. im a bit sick of saying this but if he never had a costume until he joined the xmen, why the hell do you want to see him in one in his origins movie??
Sabertooth is so much more than a rampaging monster..read nearly any story involving him and wolvie to see for yourself. thats why the majority of fans are happy that hes getting the treatment he deserves in this movie. ok so hes got a bit less hair than id like too! but maybe he started listening to rock music after this movie or something!

i apologise tho..im sure your not a grade A moron...maybe grade B..Thats a joke!!

Anyway i just read that deadpool will indeed get his scars in this movie..so wel be seeing him with the mask after all by the looks of things
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 12/14/2008, 8:46 PM
i do know what your saying but its just not the same as superman..his costume is iconic, its his identity when hes in hero mode, it seperates him from clark kent.
how many different costumes have the xmen had over the years? shit loads! thats how many. i love the costumes from the comic too (well most of them!) but totally understand why they chose not too have them in the movies. you or i may be able to take wolverine seriously in a pointy yellow suit but joe public wont and the movies need to have mass appeal. i just dont think everything in a comic translates to the screen, you have to be much more grounded in reality for a movie like that to work. i would like to see the costumes too, even some test footage to see what they look like..but im pretty sure id be asking for wolvie to take his mask OFF soon enough...
