BOX OFFICE: X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Passes The $500 Million Mark Worldwide

It's taken quite a bit longer to get there than some of 2016's other superhero movies, but X-Men: Apocalypse has finally reached the $500 million mark worldwide. How much higher will it go though?

It's taken a while, but X-Men: Apocalypse has finally earned more than $500 million worldwide. After making an additional $12.75 million overseas this weekend (which is down 47% from last week), its haul was pushed up to $364 million for a total of $510.1 million. With a budget of $178 million, this isn't a terrible result, but you have to believe that it's a far cry from what Fox were hoping for.

Domestically, the movie made $5.21 million (which is also a drop of slightly more than 47%), giving it $146 million. That's a far cry from what Deadpool, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Captain America: Civil War have made, and with Finding Dory in theaters this weekend and Independence Day: Resurgence on the way, it's now hard to picture X-Men: Apocalypse reaching $600 million.

The movie hasn't been a flop, but don't be surprised to see Fox drastically change their plans for the franchise now. What that will entail remains to be seen, but could a reboot be on the way? We'll see...

Didn't realize it got this much so far. Not a bad movie to me but really just generic, which i've come to accept from Singer's vision of Xmen.
