For whatever reason (maybe because it wasn't made by Marvel Studios?), X-Men: Apocalypse has received a fair few negative reviews. It may not be perfect, but the movie certainly doesn't deserve them, and the TV spots below give you some clues as to why that is. Featuring some great new shots of Quicksilver in action and more, they also highlight the positive things many have been saying...

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

As well as returning cast members Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult, X-Men: Apocalypse will also introduce Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn, and a number of others. The movie is set to be released on May 27th, 2016. What do you guys think of this new clip from the movie? Sound off below...

Why won't this Josh accept when a movie fails? Batman v Superman was shit and this dude just couldn't deal with it. Now the same thing all over again with X-Men: Apocalypse.

Dude, just stop.

IMO, X-men Apocalypse 5/10 ,Badly Edited, Awful CGI, action sucked, the storyline is a mess and Apocalypse was [frick]ing garbage but the new Cyclops, Jean and Nightcrawler are cool wish it was more about them, then the recycled storyline's of Eric, Charles and Raven. plus Quicksilver is way overrated.

(maybe because it wasn't made by Marvel Studios?)

Yep, totally a reason. Damn critics keep bashing X-Men films because they aren't made by Marvel.
