New X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Production Photo Confirms James McAvoy Is Going Bald As Prof. X
Well, it's about bloody time! X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has taken to Twitter to reveal an image of James McAvoy preparing to reprise the role of Charles Xavier/Professor X!
Since X-Men: First Class was released in 2011, fans have been wondering when James McAvoy would shave his head to portray Charles Xavier in the same way as the comic books. There were no signs in X-Men: Days of Future Past of the character losing his hair, but we now know for sure that he'll be bald in next year's X-Men: Apocalypse. It took a while, but this is definitely long overdue.
As well as returning cast members Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Ian McKellen, X-Men: Apocalypse will also introduce Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn, and a number of others. The movie is set to be released on May 27th, 2016.
