As promotion kicks up a notch for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse, Fox has released the following character posters to hype the movie's IMAX release. All of the principal characters are present (aside from Archangel for some reason), and looking pretty cool I'm sure you'll agree... unless you still can't let go of the matching costume thing, that is.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse is once again directed by Bryan Singer, and is set to open in theaters on May 27, 2016.

Who is that blue girl with the red hair up top? I thought Mystique was white and blonde.

@thebamf - At least Rebecca Romijn's Mystique was tough and smart. JLaw's is whiny as [frick].

@PietroJaximoff - Yup. I liked RR's portrayal, I just hated the look.

@PietroJaximoff - I especially don't like the blue scale texture that they added.... it looks like she's been bedazzled.

@riseofloganX36 - Oh relax tough guy. I actually like the movies. I just don't like the way Mystique looks. It's possible to enjoy the movies without having to like every aspect of them. I've seen you around the threads and all you do is troll users who don't have the same opinion as you. Seeing as how your avatar is an X-Men character, maybe you should care a little more. Oh, and these movies are based off of comics, so that last statement is invalid. Shoo troll. Adults are talking.

@riseofloganX36 - LOL! Apparently literacy isn't your superpower. Also, I said I liked the movies. Maybe if you didn't have a 2nd grade reading level, you would understand that. Now scurry off, it's past your bed time.

So guys I have a theory that the battle that we have seen in the trailers is not the final battle .I think this because I have seen two concept art from the movie (if I only knew how to post pictures in comments) on this site and Instagram. One showing Cyclops firing at storm with Jean Taking cover and another one with apocalypse and Jean having a telekinetic battle in their air and in the pictures the xmen are wearing their more comic like costumes.

@TheBlackSurge - I have the same feeling, i think the battle we see in the trailers is the 1st actual fight. Remember singer said the final battle will be all the xmen vs Apocalypse. The group shot we got couple weeks ago had storm with the xmen in an xmen costume. She'll be with them in the final fight. I could be wrong tho

I think mystique design would look better if they didnt gel her hair back also put clothes on her then the actor wouldn't have to sit it makeup to long either way kill the character off or put her in the shelf for like 3 movies
