1988's Cocktail Recast in 2018- 30th Anniversary Celebration

It's Cocktail's 30th Birthday this July and we thought it would be fun to RECAST it in the present. Who would you cast in a modern day remake of this cult classic?

Cocktail turns 30 this July and with Mission Impossible Fallout releasing worldwide and Tom Cruise being the man of the minute, we decided to RECAST Cocktail in 2018 in celebration of the two occasions.

What is a RECAST some of you might be asking? Well we basically take a film new or old and imagine it was either released earlier or set more recently and RECAST its primary actors. We've done several in the past including the X-Men and Fantastic Four as if they were in the current MCU. We've also RECAST 2012's The Avengers in the 90's. This is always a fun segment to do and it's always awesome finding out who others would cast in certain roles.

For Cocktail, though not a comic book movie, it is a cult classic romantic drama and one of the movies that solidified Tom Cruise as a powerhouse of the industry. We looked at the 3 main actors; Elisabeth Shue's Jordan Mooney, Australia's own Bryan Brown as Doug Coughlin and of course the man of the hour Tom Cruise's Bryan Flanagan.

Who would you cast in Cocktail if it were made today? Come and watch our video and join the conversation in the comments section.
