We haven't had many updates on Bullet Train since those leaked set photos were shared online early last year, but we now have a first glimpse of some footage from Deadpool 2 director David Leitch's high-concept action thriller via a new viral advert.
The Nippon Speed Line promo is narrated by star Brad Pitt, who promises a "truly unforgettable experience" is coming on March 2 (presumably when the full trailer will be released). After a few stunning shots of the titular train speeding through various picturesque locations, we get a quick shot of Pitt's character looking a little the worse for wear as he looks out the window.
The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor will play one of a group of assassins competing to take out the same target.
The Sony Pictures release also stars Sandra Bullock, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Zazie Beetz, Lady Gaga and Michael Shannon.
Based on Japanese novel Maria Beetle by best-selling author Kotaro Isaka, Bullet Train follows "five assassins on a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are linked to one another. The question becomes, who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station?"
The movie was produced by Kelly McCormick through 87North, along with Antoine Fuqua. Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada of CTB Inc will exec produce. The script was penned by Zak Olkewicz (The Last Voyage of the Demeter, Fear Street 2).
Bullet Train is set to hit theaters on July 15.
