Dwayne Johnson Teases HERCULES' Weaponry In Bloody BTS Image

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been tweeting behind-the-scenes images from his currently shooting Hercules epic recently, and for today's bloody photo, he says that the Brett Ratner-directed film "respects the mythology with great detail".

Since production began a couple weeks ago, star Dwayne Johnson has been sharing behind-the-scenes stills from the set of Paramount and MGM's Hercules, which is based on the Radical graphic novel subtitled The Thracian Wars. The first two teased The Rock's appearance as the Son of Zeus in the Brett Ratner-directed epic, but today's photo is something a little different. In the following tweet, Johnson shared a photo featuring what appears to be a club next to...an execution platform? The wrestler-turned-actor also takes time to praise Hercules' production designers, and again says that the movie will respect the mythology greatly (despite the film stripping the titular character of his supernatural elements). What do you think?

Hercules stars Dwayne Johnson, Aksel Hennie, Rufus Sewell, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson, Antje Traue and Tobias Santelmann. The film is set to hit theaters July 25th, 2014.
