Dwayne Johnson Teases HERCULES' Weaponry In Bloody BTS Image

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been tweeting behind-the-scenes images from his currently shooting Hercules epic recently, and for today's bloody photo, he says that the Brett Ratner-directed film "respects the mythology with great detail".

Since production began a couple weeks ago, star Dwayne Johnson has been sharing behind-the-scenes stills from the set of Paramount and MGM's Hercules, which is based on the Radical graphic novel subtitled The Thracian Wars. The first two teased The Rock's appearance as the Son of Zeus in the Brett Ratner-directed epic, but today's photo is something a little different. In the following tweet, Johnson shared a photo featuring what appears to be a club next to...an execution platform? The wrestler-turned-actor also takes time to praise Hercules' production designers, and again says that the movie will respect the mythology greatly (despite the film stripping the titular character of his supernatural elements). What do you think?

Hercules stars Dwayne Johnson, Aksel Hennie, Rufus Sewell, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson, Antje Traue and Tobias Santelmann. The film is set to hit theaters July 25th, 2014.

I think they go togehter with the hammer head on the stick, and the fangs could be from the Nemean Lion that Hercules (Heracles for his actual greek name) killed, in the comic they have based it on he also wears it's pelt as a hood and cloak.

Heracles was an asshole in Greek Mythology. I wonder what he will be like in this interpretation.

Brett Ratner is a BLAH director that doesn't have the establish vision this type of film requires. Realy Other than Rush Hour movies what is he KNOWN for. X3 was a save RedDragon was a version of silence of the lamb all OTHER peoples visions he did his best to replicate.

Looks like two parts of Heracles club to me.The handle and mace end.The teeth would be from the Nemean Lion that Heracles kills in legend. He takes it's impenetrable pelt as his cape.
