Last year, the Jurassic World trilogy reached its end, leaving Universal Pictures with one less profitable franchise to fall back on. While we're sure a reboot is being planned, the Fast & Furious series is also close to concluding, though it's not over yet! Recently, it was confirmed that Fast X's first trailer is revving up for a February release (likely during the Super Bowl).
Now, Dominic Toretto actor Vin Diesel has taken to social media (via ActioNewz.com) to share a new look at his character in the movie, all while hyping up next month's highly anticipated trailer launch.
With only two movies left before this era of storytelling reaches its conclusion, the upcoming tenth instalment hit a major bump in the road last April with the departure of director Justin Lin.
The filmmaker left shortly after shooting began due to reported "creative differences" with Diesel. Universal Pictures, however, wasted no time in replacing him with Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk), an exciting choice to take charge of the franchise given his past action credentials.
Fast X has attracted some big names, including Oscar-winner and Captain Marvel star Brie Larson. Other additions to the movie include Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Daniela Melchoir (The Suicide Squad), and Alan Ritchson (Titans).
Returning stars include Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Michael Rooker, and Scott Eastwood. It was also recently reported that Gal Gadot will return as Gisele Yashar despite the character's death in Fast & Furious 6.
In terms of plot details, very little has been revealed about Fast X. However, all you probably need to know is that there will be a lot of cars, a lot of crazy stunts, and probably quite a few explosions too. Will it get crazier than heading into outer space? That obviously remains to be seen for now, but we're sure something suitably bonkers is being planned.
Fast & Furious 10, a.k.a. Fast X, is set to race into theaters on May 19.
