This Sunday, the world will be introduced to a whole new corner of the
Fast and Furious franchise, with a Super Bowl trailer debut planned for the spinoff. Fans are building up excitement for the feature, which has assembled an A-list cast, some of which will be finally shown in action Sunday.
With the announcement of WWE superstar Roman Reigns joining the picture, The Rock was asked if
Aquaman's Jason Momoa would ever join the saga on his Instagram. With the heavy narrative influence of Johnson's Somoan ancestry, the star called the possibility very likely.
Me and Momoa tried hard to get him in this movie to play my brother, but his schedule was too packed. Next Hobbs movie for sure.
A huge inflence over the Fast franchise has always been family, so it is no surprise the fellow who grew up around the same area as Johnson, would be in talks. Hopefully the promise will come through, but with Momoa's increased popularity over the past few months, the actor will need a role to fit his newfound stardom.
Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw hits theaters this August.
