Due to a fast tracked development following The Fate of the Furious, Hobbs & Shaw is now in the middle of production. Starring Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson as heroes fighting side by side, the con and agent are once again forced into being allies in the series spinoff. After recruiting several talents to the fold, it will be interesting to see whether David Leitch's Hobbs & Shaw surpasses the franchise formula.

Taking to instagram once again, Dwayne Johnson took the honor of introducing newcomer Idris Elba as Brixton. As described by the post's caption, the antagonist will "wreck havoc, hell, and mayhem on our heroes." Furthermore, the star promises the "showdown of all showdowns," citing Brixton's record as undefeated. If any of this rings true to the final product, fans will not be disappointed. I learned a long time ago (when I was a very sinful eyebrow raising villainous man in the crazy world of pro wrestling;) that heroes are only as great as their greatest villains. A pleasure to introduce the man himself @idriselba we brought in to our Fast & Furious franchise to wreak havoc, hell and mayhem on our heroes HOBBS & SHAW. The name: BRIXTON. The record: UNDEFEATED. The promise: SHOWDOWN OF ALL SHOWDOWNS. So cool having my brother @idriselba come and play in our sandbox. This one’s been years in the making!! As I always say, we either gonna get along or we gonna get it on... and [frick] getting along 😈 #BRIXTON #TheConsequenceAgent #HellRaiser HOBBS & SHAW SUMMER 2019 📸 @hhgarcia41

while these movies aren't CBM related in any way, these characters are superhuman based on some of the stuff they have survived and done so sure, why not, they are essentially superheroes I guess.

Those uniforms look ridiculous. Like a 23rd century umpire, or Rollerball Rejects.

This movie is completely unnecessary. Just wrap this franchise up already

@xfan320 - It's not even something that should have been a franchise, first movie had a simple premise, undercover cop investigates street racers, for robbing trucks and they were normal people. Now you might as well ditch the cars and call it XXX. Watch the first movie as the current movies, if it werent for the title and character names you probably wouldnt believe its in the same series. Its barely about racing anymore, now its like a cheap mission impossible rip off. They are stupid but enjoyable, but it should have ended after Paul Walker died. Not saying he was an amazing actor, but the series cant work without him. It's like the Terminator series, people go to see The Terminator/Don, he's the big unstopable action hero. But you need the normal human guy, like John Conner/Brian. without them or someone like them it doesnt work. There are other characters in Fast and Furious but they are either unstopable bad ass type or comic relief

This movie just feels like an excuse to finally move away from the cars and shit and go full on-action with the franchise (without anyone questioning them).

Also, why are those guys dressed like SHIELD/Superhero movie-bad-government agents.
