It's hard to believe that it's almost been five years since the world lost Paul Walker to a tragic car accident on November 30, 2013. One of Hollywood's brightest lights, Walker had minor parts in PleasantvilleVarsity Blues, and She's All That before landing a starring role in The Fast and the Furious, which ultimately led to an entire franchise of highly successful blockbuster movies. But Walker was so much more than just an actor.

"Father. Humanitarian. Friend. Paul Walker's was a life fully lived, and his legacy of kindness and compassion continues to inspire others," the teaser for Paramount Network's upcoming documentary I Am Paul Walker reads. Paramount's "I Am" original documentary series offers an inside look at the "lives of extraordinary individuals as told by the people who knew them best."

Ahead of next month's I Am Paul Walker episode, Paramount has released a trailer, giving us a glimpse of what to expect. In the trailer, we hear from Walker's family, friends, and co-stars as they reflect on the wonderful person that he was. We also see some never-before-seen home videos of when Walker was a young boy.

Walker clearly inspired and touched a ton of people in his life, and that's evident in this emotional trailer for the upcoming documentary. I Am Paul Walker premieres August 11 on Paramount Network.

This will gut me big time. Fast and the Furious was my favorite series growing up, being a car nut. Even when it got crazy, I always loved the cars, racing and Diesel/Walker chemistry.

He was a really humble and gracious person. Even for a franchise as ridiculous as the Fast & Furious movies, it is really hard not to cry at the end of the 7th movie for his sendoff.

Sure it's sad that a guy died when he was young, but does anyone on this site really care about this? He was in no comic book movies, or for that matter, any GOOD movies. He was handsome, so some people might like him for that, but he was not a good actor or anything. Mr Rogers, I get - doing a biopic/documentary on - he was a groundbreaking, inspirational, amazing person, but this kid... really? I don't get it. I guess it's just because he was sexy and famous.

@benjithegreat - He was involved in quite a few charities and was one of the genuinely nice and caring people in Hollywood. I liked a lot of his movies, his best performance was by far in the movie Hours it's mostly him solo which takes a lot of acting chops to do, if you haven't seen it I can't recommend it enough. An argument could also be made that the Fast and the Furious films have turned into superhero films more so than car films.
