My favorite Bond film of all time is Goldeneye, and my favorite actor to play 007 is Pierce Bronson.

I'm with you there jimpinto24!
But my favorite is Connery. How does that work?

I really like GoldenEye, but of Brosnan's movies, Tomorrow Never Dies really stands out to me for some reason. And, Nomis, you're right: every day IS James Bond day. That gun barrel moves across the screen at the outset and I'm five years old again!

I grew up on the Connery films and I have to give him the edge, but that being said, Craig has done an amazing job (particularly in Casino Royale) of inhabiting the 007 character. So, like I said, Connery gets the edge, but it's THIS close.

Fav film, You Only Live Twice. It has everything...ninjas, a secret volcano base, a great musical score, space capsule-jacking and the introduction of Blofeld and his famous white cat.

As you guys have mapped out, James Bond has got one hell of a history. It's truly amazing that this series has been going on for 50 years and that there have been SO many highlights along the way rather than a film series that has just limped along. Their are certainly peaks and valleys, but, damn, it's an amazing achievement.

Speaking for FYEO, everybody remembers that scene where Bond kicks the car off the cliff, and it's a scene that Roger Moore was SO against playing. Director John Glen convinced him to do so, and thankfully he did.

Overall the Bond experience for me really is sitting there from the opening gun barrel sequence to the final words of the end credits, "James Bond Will Return." Have to sit there until I read those words.

Always hted JB until Casino Royale, QoS had awesome momnts and some good emotional stuff but the story and villain were all over the place. Can't wait for Skyfall looks like a perfect mix between action, style, and a compelling villain.... now lets get wrking on a globl Jack Bauer day ;)

Nomis, my only complaint about Dalton is that he was TOO serious as Bond. He needed a slightly lighter touch at certain moments. For instance, in the scene from Licence to Kill where he throws the guy in the tray of maggots - he is SO intense when he sneers, "Bon appetit!" Connery would have had a bit of a sideway grin when he said the line. Now if you look at Dalton in The Rocketeer as Neville Sinclair, he's just so damn charming and full of life.

Sean Connery is my favorite Bond, but Daniel is doing a great job too.

Bond is awesome. He's definitely my favourite movie icon. Craig is doing a fantastic job. Casino Royale cemented him in the top echelon of Bond actors, and that little ditty with her majesty was freaking awesome.

Awesome! I feel like I have to plan something special for Oct. 5th.

I would assume they would be airing Dr. No on BBC that day, which I would of course watch. That's the movie that started the longest running film franchise of the world's greatest secret agent.

The first James Bond movie I watched was one of Sean Connery's movies. It was when I was little kid and it was just playing on TV. Pierce Brosnan was James Bond for me when I was growing up though. I loved Goldeneye; that movie won me over as a James Bond fan for life.

@DeadPunisher Lol, I don't blame you if you only watched QOS. You should definitely check out Casino Royale(it is a prequel to QOS... but it is a far, far superior movie). That is my favorite Bond film to date.

Damn, dude. Don't base your opinion on Quantum of Solace. It's one of the worst Bond films. You don't even have to look into a different Bond for a much better movie. Casino Royale.

Quantum of Solace was a movie that was rushed into production without a refined script because of the Writers Guild strike taking place at the time. And when you watch the film, you see it has some structure but no meat on the bones in the same way Casino Royale had. The strike is the reason.

As a result, the film is rather disappointing, though I find it more enjoyable to watch when done so as a double feature with Casino Royale. Together, it feels stronger because it's a direct continuation.

The modern-day 'Casino Royale' is a great Bond re-imagining and it revitalised Bond for the 21st Century, The franchise was starting to feel cliche and dated. Casino Royale is also a great blu-ray picture/sound-wise. Astonishingly you can pick it up for a fiver online.
