JACK RYAN Season 2 Adds HOUSE OF CARDS Star Michael Kelly As A Series Regular

With Netflix's House of Cards wrapping up its award-winning run after this coming season, Michael Kelly has lined up his next big role in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan. He'll be a series regular for a season two.

Even though Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan doesn't premiere until the end of the month, Amazon has been actively casting for the already announced season two and they've now added 3x Primetime Emmy-nominee Michael Kelly in a series regular role as Mike November, a smart, seasoned career field officer in the CIA that will work alongside both Ryan (John Krasinski) and James Greer (Wendell Pierce).

Kelly is the latest new addition to the season two cast, joining Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) as German intelligence officer Harriet "Harry" Baumann and John Hoogenakker (Public Enemies), who was upped to series regular status earlier this year.

Amazon has been extremely bullish on the coming freshman season, which premieres on August 31st, and ordered a second season back in April. Details remain classified, but season two is expected to be set in South America as Ryan tackles a new case involving a dangerous, declining democratic regime.

Kelly is likely best known for his role as Doug Stamper on Netflix's House of
Cards, but has also ventured into comic book movie territory before, having appeared as Steve Lombard in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. His other credits include, but are not limited to, Invincible, The Sopranos, Law Abiding Citizen, The Adjustment Bureau, The Good Wife, Person of Interest, Now You See Me, Everest, Black Mirror, and Taboo.

When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.

Always though this guy would make a decent Xavier if they wanted to go with a lesser name.

Now that House of Cards has finished he can pursue other projects.

The cast for this looks good, with him now onboard I am getting curious. Just have to find some space in all the other stuff I'm watching to get it done and find the time to see this.
