JACK RYAN Season 2 Adds Jovan Adepo, Jordi Mollà, Cristina Umaña & Francisco Denis As Series Regulars
Ahead of the series premiere on August 31st, Amazon has added Jovan Adepo, Jordi Molla, Cristina Umaña and Francisco Denis to the cast of the previously announced second season of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan.
Deadline is reporting that Jovan Adepo (Overlord), Jordi Mollà (Bad Boys II), Cristina Umaña (Narcos), and Francisco Denis (Narcos) have all joined the cast of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan season two in series regular roles.
The quartet joins a cast headlined by 3x Primetime Emmy-nominee John Krasinski (A Quiet Place) as the titular CIA analyst. Abbie Cornish (Limitless) and Wendell Pierce (The Wire) will also feature as Ryan's future wife Cathy Muller and as Ryan's CIA boss James Greer, respectively. Other confirmed series regulars for the second season include Noomi Rapace (Bright), Michael Kelly (House of Cards) and John Hoogenakker (Colony).
Adepo will play a character named Marcus, a former special crewman in the Navy that's now repairing boats. His life will take a drastic turn when an old colleague offers him a critical position in a cover operation.
Molla will play Nicolas Reyes, the powerful and charismatic leader of a South American Country. He uses his intelligence and strategic mind to lead his country and to battle his foes.
Umaña will play Gloria Bonalde, a woman who fearlessly balances her career in politics with the demands of motherhood. She is described as charismatic, confident and someone that displays unnatural courage and a strong moral center in the chaotic and supercharged world of our story.
Denis will play Ubarri, a senior government official in a South American country. He's described as a man of wisdom, intellect and force. He'll also play a pivotal role in the unfolding of the second season’s narrative.
Details on the already ordered second season, which is expected to premiere sometime in 2019, remain under wraps, but it's said to follow Ryan as he confronts the forces in power in a dangerous, declining democratic regime in South America.
When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.
