John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum hit theaters like an assassin last weekend, finally taking down Avengers: Endgame as the number one film domestically. This was in addition to the film's $60 million opening and A- CinemaScore, all impressive statistics considering it is the third in the series. Action frachises do not typically build in grosses and popularity, but John Wick has.

During this past Memorial Day weekend, Parabellum became the highest grosser in the John Wick franchise in a mere ten days. Hitting $181 million worldwide on Monday to surpass Chapter 2's $171 million, the series has shown no signs of stopping.

As for the future, the movie has shown solid legs at the box office so far, and is on track to double the second film's worldwide gross.

Awesome... I need to see the latest still. It’s good to see a small film series grow with multiple quality releases, but it’s still surprising that it’s such a niche film. It deserves to have blown up into something huge by now.

Off topic: does anyone know when actual Godzilla reviews come out? It opens tomorrow in much of Europe, from what I’ve seen... how are there no reviews for it?

Saw it and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

Waiting on announcement that Halle Berry will star in Sophia! Yep, I can see her and her dogs in their own movie!

Glad to see y'all are loving it. I've had two coworkers tell me it was trash...just mindless action. Um, I'm not sure what they went for. I still need to get out and see it.

I [frick]ing loved it. Story-wise it has some problems (what doesn't?), but the action itself made me forgive all of that. The fight scenes and kills keep on getting more creative as the series goes on — some of the best choreography I have ever seen.

Why John Wick never kills The Adjudicator or the guy in the desert I have no idea why. He could have easily killed those two.
