Lionsgate Pictures and Roadside Attractions, in collaboration with Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, have released the first official trailer for Kill, an upcoming Indian action-thriller that has been garnering rave reviews across the globe since its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival last September.

Nikhil Nagesh Bhat (Apurva; Hurdang; The Gone Game) helmed the badass picture, which is currently boasting an impressive 100% Certified Fresh certification on review aggregator RottenTomatoes, with many comparing it favorably to the similarly-themed actioners The Raid and The Night Comes for Us.

In their glowing review, Variety wrote, "As brutal a film as the country has ever produced, Kill is a shockingly graphic action showcase from an industry that typically plays violence in a more cartoony register."

The synopsis reads, "When army commando Amrit finds out his true love Tulika is engaged against her will, he boards a New Delhi-bound train in a daring quest to derail the arranged marriage. But when a gang of knife-wielding thieves led by the ruthless Fani begin to terrorize innocent passengers on his train, Amrit takes them on himself in a death-defying kill-spree to save those around him — turning what should have been a typical commute into an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride."

The film stars Lakshya ("Amrit"), Raghav Juyal ("Fani"), Tanya Maniktala ("Tulika"), Abhishek Chauhan ("Viresh"), Ashish Vidyarthi ("Beni"), Adrija Sinha ("Aahna"), Harsh Chhaya ("Baldev Singh Thakur"), Parth Tiwari ("Siddhi"), Akshay Vichare ("Ujala"), Jitendra Kumar Sharma ("Akhilesh Jha (RPF personnel)"), Rupesh Kumar Charanpahari ("Bishnu"), Sahil Gangurde ("Badlu"), Priyam Gupta ("Kulli"), Vivek Kashyap ("Mukund"), Sameer Kumar ("Bechan"), Calib Logan ("Brahmeshwar"), Moses Marton ("Murari"), and Reyazz ("Surajbhan").

In addition to directing, Nikhil Nagesh Bhat also wrote the feature. Karan Johar, Guneet Monga, Apoorva Mehta, and Achin Jain are attached as producers.

This looks to be a star-making performance for the film's leading man, Lakshya, who is making his feature film debut. His past credits include the television series PorusPardes Mein Hai Mera DilPyaar Tune Kya KiyaAdhuri Kahaani Hamari, and Warrior High.

Kill hits theaters on July 4!

That looks like violent fun man lol!!.

I like that it’s a cast that seems to be filled with mainly character actors or unknown/lesser known ones…

Also nice to see Laksh finally catch a break , dude had been trying to make into films for a few years now but his previous 2 ones got shelved so it’s cool to see him make his debut with a brutal action film such as this!!.

American box office will be nothing for this. Even if it's great.
