How much money does this have to make for WB to understand that the world wants a Superman sequel?

I'm starting to think that maybe Ving Rhames or Simon Pegg (or maybe Michelle Monaghan) will bite it this time around. I can't imagine them killing Ethan Hunt off whenever they do decide to end this franchise, and I can't seee any reason why they wouldn't intend to do another after this.

@MosquitoFarmer - I'm sort of expecting Michelle Monaghan to die or they might throw us a curveball and Rebecca Ferguson will die instead. Rhames is a maybe, Baldwin unlikely, Pegg definitely not.

I agree... If it's anyone, it'll be Monaghan or Rhames.

@L0RDbuckethead - I think the problem with killing Monaghan is she was ''dead'' for Ghost Protocol. I think the only way her death would have an impact now would be if Ethan goes rogue for real at the end of the film and never returns to the IMF, just acts as a mercenary or something. I'd like to see a more brutal, darker take on the films and character.

@TerryTerrapin - Yeah, her dying again wouldn't hold as much weight as Rhames' would, that's for sure.

...what if Ethan kills her? Either accidentally, or on purpose for some reason (like it's revealed she is working against him or some bs).

@L0RDbuckethead - The idea of him causing her death incidentally would be a great bold move. The idea of Ethan winning in the end every time needs to be properly rattled. Rhames is the obvious other choice; Baldwin would be kind of throwaway; and Pegg would be too upsetting to audiences, so I would rule him out unless he goes along with others. Ferguson would have impact, but because of the strong reception to her I seriously doubt they will kill her off (especially with all of the representation shake-up in Hollywood right now).
