In case you haven't heard, at a recent test screening, the Chris McQuarrie-directed Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation actually tested higher than the previous installment, the Brad Bird-directed Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. That's extremely high praise, especially considering that the previous film was universally acclaimed by both fans and critics. This is definitely good news for Paramount as it's starting to look more and more like they may have another huge home run on their hands when the highly anticipated Tom Cruise-starrer hits theaters July 31st!

Check out five new character photos below with Cruise leading his IMF team that features Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Rebecca Ferguson

Ethan and team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate – an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation will feature:
Director: Christopher McQuarrie
Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt

Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell
Rebecca Ferguson in an undisclosed role

@LoudLon

Sure it's not a comic book franchise, but at least it's something awesome like Mission Impossible. You don't remember the multiple Jem And The Holograms articles?

@TheAmbassador

MI3 and Ghost Protocol were both quite good. I'm not sure what entails a sequel that people "need", but a lot of people are excited for this one.
