Tom Cruise Celebrates 60th Birthday With Death-Defying New Photo From MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING

Happy Birthday Tom Cruise!

To celebrate the star's 60th birthday, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One director Christopher McQuarrie has shared an insane new behind-the-scenes photo from Dead Reckoning Part Two, which is currently filming and due out in theaters Summer 2024.

The photo features Cruise hanging from a red biplane, a breathtaking scene that was teased during CinemaCon earlier this year, and promises to be one of his most death-defying stunts yet. However, knowing Cruise and McQ, this sequence is likely only the tip of the iceberg for what we'll end up seeing in the film.

Meanwhile, Cruise's billion-dollar blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick continues its historic box office run over the Fourth of July and should finish second this weekend behind Minions: The Rise of Gru - a remarkable accomplishment after being in theaters for a little over a month. It's now the twelfth-highest grossing film of all-time domestically and has reached #43 worldwide.

Check out the new photo, in full hi-resolution, below:

In addition to Cruise as the headliner, the highly anticipated McQ-directed action blockbuster will also see the return of Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, Academy Award-nominee Vanessa Kirby as the White Widow, Frederick Schmidt as Zola, and Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge.

Newcomers to the franchise include the aforementioned Hayley Atwell (Avengers: EndgameCaptain America: The First Avenger) as Grace, Shea Whigham (Perry Mason; Marvel's Agent Carter), Pom Klementieff (Avengers: Endgame; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Esai Morales (TitansLa Bamba), Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2Hobbs & Shaw), Cary Elwes (The Princess BrideSaw), Indira Varma (Game of ThronesCarnival Row), Mark Gatiss (The FatherThe Favourite), Charles Parnell (Top Gun: MaverickTransformers: Age of Extinction), and Greg Tarzan Davis (Top Gun: MaverickGrey's Anatomy).

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One lights the fuse in theaters on July 14, 2023; with the expected franchise finale, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two, set to arrive the following year on June 28, 2024.

Good thing he does not work for Warner Brothers or they might think he is aging out of the role...

He can get away with this because he produce his own movies, no sane producer would allow an actor to pull up something like this.

Insane stunt, as insane as Tom.
