Tom Cruise delivers yet another action movie masterpiece, packed with jaw-dropping spectacle, pulse-pounding action, heartfelt emotion, awe-inspiring performances, and an exhilarating chemistry opposite new leading lady Hayley Atwell that’ll have you begging for more. This is one Mission we’ll always choose to accept! Bring on Part Two!"

In addition to Cruise, the supporting cast features Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger; Agent Carter; Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning), Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible; Pulp Fiction; Dawn of the Dead), Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead; Star Trek; Mission: Impossible), Esai Morales (Ozark; La Bamba; Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2; Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning; Westworld), Henry Czerny (Mission: Impossible; Ready or Not; Revenge), Holt McCallany (Mindhunter; Fight Club; Wrath of Man), Janet McTeer (Ozark; Albert Nobbs; Jessica Jones), Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation; The Last of Us; Devs), Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso; Game of Thrones; Hocus Pocus 2), Tramell Tillman (Severance; Hunters; Difficult People), Angela Bassett (Black Panther; What's Love Got to Do with It; 9-1-1), Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire; Joker; Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning), Greg Tarzan Davis (Top Gun: Maverick; Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning; Grey’s Anatomy), Charles Parnell (Top Gun: Maverick; Transformers: Age of Extinction; The Last Ship), Mark Gatiss (Sherlock; Doctor Who; The Favourite), with Rolf Saxon (Mission: Impossible; Saving Private Ryan; Entrapment), and Lucy Tulugarjuk (The Grizzlies; Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner; Tia and Piujuq).

McQuarrie helmed the feature, with a screenplay he co-wrote with Erik Jendresen (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One; IthacaBand of Brothers).

Does someone want to write an article on discount movies at AMC for not only Tuesdays, but also 50% off Wednesdays! For all the complainers who don't have A-List which mow gives you 4 movies a week for the price of one or two tickets a month.

@bobevanz - It's very, very misleading. First of all it's on select movies, whatever that means. Here's a better article; While certain movies and holiday time periods may be excluded from the “50% Off Wednesdays” program, it is envisioned that if successful, this new AMC pricing initiative will be almost universally available at all AMC locations in the United States going forward, the company said. The circuit did not specify whether Superman will be immediately available for the discount.

They're really gonna put him in the Animus it seems.

Either way, this looks insane. And I'm all for it. Might even go this Friday, because this gets me hyped as never before.

@TheVisionary25 - I kinda forgot about that. Either way, didn't expect Ethan to be thrown into a digital world that seemingly lets him live the previous movies events

@bkmeijer1 - yeah…

I know the sudden turn into slightly sci fi territory with The Entity wasn’t for everyone last time but given the concerns around AI now , it’s oddly prescient too
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 5/14/2025, 2:10 PM
@TheVisionary25 - I've been rewatching the whole series in anticipation of Final Reckoning, and I was surprised AI was already mentioned in the first one.

The whole franchise has constantly been using sci-fi tech that actually is or comes close to gadgets we use today. Especially in the realm of AI/Machine learning. Pretty apt AI is the villain now I'd say.

Think the animus isn't that far off either anymore. Give it 10 years.

That last film was so bad that I just can't get that excited for this one despite really liking fallout. It was the same thing with Bond, Skyfall was great, Spectre sucked so bad that I didn't bother with that last one. Also this guy below is the most wooden villain that I've seen in years, I don't care that he killed off that chick in the last film, I don't care that he's back and if Hunt can get his revenge. That is the worst type of character you can have for you're big final movie.

@HashTagSwagg - Yeah, Day of Reckoning was long-winded.

But it was watchable on a 6/10 scale.

I'm sure Uncle Tom will make it up on this one.

Man , I don’t want this series to end..

I would love these films to go on forever but I guess that’s not realistic since Cruise is already 62 and while it seems like he could continue to defy death , I’m sure the stunts tend to take a toll on him physically especially now so it is what it is.

This series has become perhaps my favorite action franchise thus far or atleast one of them so having it come to it’s apparent conclusion is bittersweet but it is best to go out on top so hopefully this film wraps up the story & series well!!.

I hope it's AMAZING because 'part one' was surprisingly weak. The start wasted far too much time on the sub crash, the (dire) car chase sequence went on FOREVER and introduced dreadful, forced humour; that didn't land and undermined the mood. Dialogue; poor from start to finish and every time they mentioned 'the entity', it became less and less believable as a functioning device or major plot point for two films. Weakest of the canon (yes, even 2 was better).
