We get our first look at the official trailer for the live action and animated fantasy tale “Monster Hunt”. Breaking box office records it is now the highest grossing Chinese movie of all time.

So what is Monster Hunt? This record breaking Chinese film has been described as a kid friendly fantasy comedy, filled with 3D animated creatures and tradition Chinese fantasy storytelling. The clip itself conveys a fun family film perfect for all ages. The two minute trailer can view below.




Monster Hunt is the big screen directorial debut for Shrek” animator Raman Hui a veteran animator who has worked on multiple Dreamworks’ animated films and shorts including “Puss in Boots” and “Shrek 3”. While the film has received mixed English speaking reviews it is already a financial success having earned $211 million worldwide after only two weeks in theaters. Monster Hunt now ranks as the fifth highest grossing film of all time in China. It only falls behind Jurassic World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Transformers: Age of Extinction and Furious 7.
