Director Kevin Tancharoen updated his Twitter yet again today and offers us up this image giving us our first look at Kitana and most likely Mileena engaging in a battle.

Kevin is currently in Vancouver filming his Warner Bros. produced web-series and Jeri Ryan will reprise her role as Sonya Blade, and Michael Jai White will also return to the character of Jackson 'Jax' Briggs along with Darren Shahlavi as Kano, and Ian Anthony Dale is returning as Scorpion.

"Written by Kevin Tancharoen, Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing, and available online this spring from Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, the “Mortal Kombat” digital new media series is an anthology of multiple live action shorts. Each episode will provide never-before-revealed insights into characters featured in the upcoming videogame as well as the game’s universe…Fans will be able to delve deep into the history of the warriors they know and love including “Sub-Zero” and “Scorpion."

Dude...my hopes have been restored...I'm so glad he's sticking closer to the game, as cool as the fighting was in MK: Rebirth...the modernization was shit...this looks good though

Can someone post a close up shot of the picture of Sub-Zero from the Rebirth trailer, every time i rewatch the trailer, they showed it so quickly I couldn't pause the video fast enough -_-

But Scorpion has always been my all-time fav character, he's the best.

welp...you guys won on this one. I liked Rebirth much better, wish he stuck with that concept/route. Can't win em all. I'll still watch it though, keep an open mind towards it.

But....they're in freaking purple and blue video game spandex ninja outfits for Gods sake! Yeah....VERY believable.

They could just make the Johnny Cage we saw in the trailer a stunt double for one of Johnny's movies, and baraka killed the wrong guy.

Guys Matt Mullins confirmed long time ago via twitter that he was Johnny Cage in the webseries. and Yes it has nothing to do with Rebirth and thank christ!.

Johnny Cage is not dead in the webseries. MK Rebirth has nothing to do with this Mortal Kombat Webseries.
