Mr. Plinkett Reviews INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL (NSFW)

Christmas has come early! Another hilariously scathing review from Mr. Plinkett, and this one focuses on the Georg Lucas turd that is the fourth Indiana Jones.

@VideoColor - Star Trek was entertaining, but it was far from perfect. For one, it relies way, WAY too much on coincidence and unrealistically perfect timing. For instance, Kirk just happens to end up on the same exact planet, in the same exact cave, as old Spock? REAllY?

Plus, Red Matter is one of the dumbest plot devices in any modern sci-fi movie. If you understand even a little about the physics of a black hole you'll shake your head, while facepalming, when thinking about the enterprise being able to escape from within the event horizon of a Black Hole.

Honestly sometimes I think this guy reads my mind..pretty much all of the stuff he did like I did too..I also thought Blanchete was a decent villain. Not a horrible movie in the grand scheme, just a bit crap.

Well let me rephrase that,...

Been busy with my life while from time to time checking in to see how this site has become a watered-down version of it's former glory. Replete with stupid cartoon icons meant to chastise free-thinkers. No edit option. (Who's bright idea was that?!?) And people in the position of supposedly improving things around here, so busy catering to self-absorbed assh0les that they can't see the forest for the trees. And you?

@Intruder- Way back when, he said 4,5 & 6 were all about 3PO and R2. He got that inspiration from some B&W Japanese film from the 50's. The idea was that all this epic drama was happening around them and they were just 'asides' to the action - that the film was viewed from their perspective as it progressed.

Flash forward to the making of the prequels, and he says, "It's all about Vader. It's always been about Vader". What!?

He contradicts himself.

I re-watch the Plinkett reviews every once in a while because they're absolute genius...and hilarious!

Totally agree: he's dead on right about EVERYTHING!

Pizza rolls anyone?

Love these reviews. In-between the insanity is a person who really understands story, character, and structure.

His review of the crystal skull was actually very interesting. He pointed out the major flaw of this one, living vicariously through the adventures of Indiana Jones, which didn't happen at all in this one.

He tells it like it is and brings up valid points that a person may have never noticed b4 watching the flick

Give him his own show already

I find his reviews entertaining, but am usually disappointed with how easily influenced his fans seem to be. His ability to form intelligent coherent thoughts on these films don't make him right. I think most of these people hear him say something and run with it like they just realized that was what they were thinking, but couldn't put into words. Really they just hear something that sounds thought-provoking and make it their opinion. For the most part I find the things he says inaccurate even contradictory at times, but still an entertaining line of thought with occasional gem. Usually over-simplifying or over-complicating a movie and forgetting how much his own nostalgia plays a part in his love of older films. Wait, that's most critics.

I'll have to take everyone's word on how great his reviews are. After trying to listen to his voice for 2 minutes, all I could repeat to myself was, "Bueller... Bueller... Bueller...".
