The official Power Rangers website has debuted a special sneak peek preview at their brand new official fansite, RangerNation, with the reveals of three spectacular new movie toys, including close-ups of the Power Morpher, Power Coins, and Power Sword. However, the biggest reveal of the bunch is a first look at the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord, which will be utilized in the movie by Jason the Red Ranger, played by newcomer Dacre Montgomery.

The toy zord has a fairly simple design & color scheme, and outside of being based on the same dinosaur, doesn't really share too many similarities with the classic zord seen in the original '90s series. On another note, it's fairly likely the zord seen in the movie will be quite a bit different as the character posters showed the massive beast sporting a lot more silver than what the toy would have you believe. Check out the toys below:

Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

Power Rangers features:
Director: Dean Israelite
Dacre Montgomery as Jason Lee Scott, the Red Ranger
Naomi Scott as Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger
Ludi Lin as Zack Taylor, the Black Ranger
RJ Cyler as Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger
Becky Gomez as Trini Kwan, the Yellow Ranger
Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa
Bryan Cranston as Zordon
David Denman as Sam Scott
Anjali Jay as Maddy Hart
Emily Maddison as Rebecca
Patrick Sabongui as Mr. Kwan
Lisa Berry as Candace Cranston
Caroline Cave as Beverly Scott
Kayden Magnuson as Pearl Scott
Sarah Grey as Amanda

@heisei24 - Power Rangers RPM was actually pretty good. It had a pretty well structured story

Hmmm the l morpher looks weird. Although i never really loved the original one either, it was always too bulky and impractical to carry inconspicuously.

@hufflepuff69 - Agreed. I was kind of hoping the the power coins would sort of fuse with each host. This would would make the whole 'Only Jason can morph to the Red Ranger' thing be more plausible.

That's was mainly reason for making this movie so can't help but applaud good marketing strategy. Along with other merchandising (tv series, games, collectibles) they should make a good buck out of this despite what the eventual movie review might be.

I am not a fan of the designs. Rounding all the edges makes it look like Micheal Bays Transformers which is a catastrophe in it's own right. It's almost like they are trying to make the power rangers look like they have Venom Symbiotes only the less cool knockoff brand.

One thing I'm really curious about when it comes to this is the whole saving the day factor. Okay, these kids are going to be heroes when they stop Rita and whatever giant monster they end up fighting. There is now way in hell that videos aren't taken and the world finds out and the military gets involved.

So will they start to become more Avengers/Justice League type heroes? It seems to me that stopping thugs won't be on the agenda. They'll have to be dealing with bigger problems in the future aside from other worldly threats.

Pretty sure this movie will be shit... but I am a total sucker for animal-themed robots with absurd guns on them.

Really wish Zoids was more of a thing... Is that a giant robot fox with a machine gun?!

@Spock0Clock - I loved Zoids when I was a kid I especially loved the animes New Century and Chaotic Century. I was [frick]ing pissed because there was build up to some new zoid project coming out.

I was hoping for a new anime, a new game, maybe even a movie but you know what it was? Some [frick]ing moba game they are making for mobile devices. Not really sure how well that is going to work trying to run a live moba game on cell phones and the like. They could have at least made it a strategy game or something.

@Spock0Clock - You want to talk about animal-themed robots with absurd guns on them. Then you may want to take a gander at the Gunsniper with it's full on small countries military load out set up.

Spock0Clock

@pesmerga44 - Yep, I ate up New Century when it was on Cartoon Network. My only complaint is that Zoids media is ultimately limited to selling the models/toys so they do feel a bit repetitive once you see the same zoids across multiple series doing basically the same stuff.

But if a legit good Power Rangers franchise could scratch my itch for basically "Gundam but with Animals" then I'd be all for it. I just don't think Saban has it in him to do anything more than a casual cash grab.
