I'm either way. I'm not that big a fan of the director. If it is pretty good in realD like they're claiming, then it might be worth a watch in the theater.

Meh, it's got some damn good actors, so I might check it out.

But remind me again... why's there so much focus on a character who isn't one of the THREE Musketeers.

Meh, looks okay. Lerman's acting seems a little weak.

@ShadesAtKnight There was always 4. The three musketeers Athos, Porthos, and Aramus, and their initiate D'Artagnan who is the main character of the story.

The Three Musketeers is my favorite book. I've read it many times since childhood. That being said, this is NOTHING like Dumas' book. Sword and Fantasy movie, throw in some characters people recognize and make a few bucks at the box office. The Salkind movies are my favorite adaptations and followed the books closely without taking too many liberties. That horrible 1993 movie with Chris O'Donnell and Charlie Sheen still makes me cringe.

@Shades...D'Artagnan wasn't a Musketeer until very late in the book. He had to earn his spot first through service in the King's army and being noticed for extraordinary actions on the King's behalf.

I am pretty sure Dumas is turning in his grave right now but still this looks really fun. And it has Milla Jovovich. It will be watched :0

Looks like a boring Pirates rip off.
Whoever decided to put that wig on Logan, made him go from a cute guy, who could attract at least a couple of kids, to looking like a girl. Bad move.

You're joking about Paul W.S. Anderson directing this right? I had no idea and wondered why Milla Jovovich was in it. Now I know why....*sigh*

Why do we continue to cast Englishmen for French Characters? I mean, it's clearly done on purpose like we're going to trick ourselves into thinking that since they have accents that they're French. I'd rather have NYC actors just so it didn't seem like a lame trick.

Christoph needs to stop doing crummy American films, he's too talented for films like this and Green Hornet.

@FutureCBM good point but its not just French. Its Romans, its Greek, etc. Maybe when they test audiences for French accents they just think Peter Sellers and Pepie la pew the loony tunes skunk.

I dunno the movie looks fun enough. Flying ships to me seems outside the Muskateer gene but i can see buying into it.

They're making a movie based on a CANDY BAR?

Seriously, this looks like just more Hollywood drivel. Lots of explosions, Matrix-ripoff fight scenes, and "airships" in an era where nothing like that should exist, but does, simply because the script writers can't just adapt a story that has endured for hundreds of years, as it was written. They have to add silly things, presumably to sell toys.

I don't know, it might be a good beer movie- drink a few and laugh at all this silliness. It might be a good movie to riff on, especially with a few beers. That's the only way I could see watching this, and then only on DVD.

Lots of action and a good story plot as well, I'm all over this.

I freakin' LOVED Disney's Musketeer especially on account of Tim Curry. He was EPIC! But i hated "The Musketeer" where the frenchmen magically transformed into 4 feet tall chinese stuntmen just so they could give us martial arts action using rapiers. And this film right here is making The Musketeer look great, i gotta say.

@ Suspensesmith: Though I am willing to let go of Logic and enjoy a fun film you made a good point there. "Three Musketeers" Needs to be treated like "Count Of Monte Cristo" and really would have taken the franchise in the right direction. I'm sure I will enjoy this movie but the CMC treatment would have put it as one of my favorite films.

Only thing I love more then a Action Packed, Highflying Swashbuckler is a Serious toned, Well acted, and Dramatic Swashbuckler!

Logan Lerman is one of the reasons I have no hope for a future filled with good actors.
